Couldn't give a Monkeys Chuff TBH.

What will be annoying, is every news programme and news paper & magazine for the next week will be about this bl00dy engagement.

Apparently he “took her up somewhere nice in Kenya, then proposed” – I suppose as good as time as any

Why is Hugh presenting the news at ten on BBC from outside Buck Palace? What the **** is going to happen now? This sort of thing really grinds my gears like when the political reporter is in Downing Street at 10:15pm. Why not just come back to the studio?

Really dreading the build up to a Royal wedding, its going to be horrific, Kate Whatsit is going to be the new Diana whether she wants to or not, the British public and the Daily Express have been without a "Peoples Princess" too long, oh god.

Think of the positives, a high chance of a bank holiday and the wide spread news blanket will likely knock Corre' and Eastenders off the air

Whilst there are still people in the world who have to walk a six mile round trip for water which can be dirty, there are people living homeless and people under oppression I really couldn't give a damn about this engagement.

I personally can't stand the idea of a monarchy and I'm a member of Republic which campaigns for an elected head of state. Don't get me wrong I cannot personally say I dislike the Royal family as I've never met them. What I dislike is the outdated class culture it still helps to solidify in the UK.

The Queen is one of the richest people on the planet and yet she thought it wholly appropriate to ask the government for funds to repair Buckingham Palace!

The French had the right idea!

Feel free to get of your butt and liberate the 'poor oppressed' instead of railing about it on an interweb forum.

You live like a King compared to some poor people in Africa. You know where your ATM card is! Just give that money away!

LOL, you're missing the point I'm making. My opinion is that there are more important things in the world to fill column inches. As far as giving away money and time, well I do what I can

You are quite facetious in your assessment Let's just say I've got my opinion and you have yours, and it would seem many of the British public have made there disgruntlement about cost and media coverage clear also

Ah ! Might have got that if I'd given a s**t I remember the morning it happened and w'ar lass glued to the news, right up to the point they said 'And now let's speak to Dannnniiii Minogogue to get her reaction' 20 minutes later we were on our way out for the day to escape

I knew what the funeral day would be like though, so was fuelled up and ready at 6am, and didn't return home until late It was like The Omega Man in the Yorkshire Dales

When he was younger, he was always the looker of the family. Seems to have gone a bit horsey now

That aside, I think it's great news. Best of luck to both of them, but if it is constantly on the news until they get hitched, I will soon get very bored of it

I was very pleased at the news and wish them both well. I have a lot of time for him, I thinks he gets a lot from his mother who I also admired. She had a really hard time from the family.

I think we are lucky to have a royal family, I think there are a lot of countries who wish they still had.

I think their interview was quite funny actually. They seem to make a nice couple and compliment each other well.

Not a royalist but this is great timing. Puts a lot of people in a positive mood, brings in a lot of interest and tourists. Good for the economy right now.

Every news programme is loaded with it from tv to radio and it's very boring and annoying. Saturation was hit within a few hours and I'm sick of hearing about something I don't care about, and never will.

Good luck to them. She'll need all the patience she has marrying into that lot of weirdos, and waking up next to Tim Nice But Dim's duller brother every morning.

Smashing.

God like he's really old at 29/30?!

Problem is he's going thin on top and needs to either get it fixed or shave his head.

Plus he's put on a bit of weight and dresses like an old sod.
