bet the ferrari owner was spitting feathers after that, some very lucky people out there judging by some of the photos uploaded, but also some very unlucky ones to.

I was 50 miles away from my car when it got written off ..

However, people make mistakes and these pictures are something to look back on and realise how lucky we've been ..

As for insulting someone's parents for giving their son a car you're a **** .. The ****ty Clio's now a days are faster than the xr ..

it makes no difference whether a clio is faster, it is all relative, anyone with any sense would not give their 17 year old son a car like that as soon as they passed their test, for the exact reasons that his picture shows, whether the accident is thier fault or not, i have a 2 year old and i would love nothing more than him to be a petrolhead, and inherit my scoob at some point but it certainly wouldnt be his first car and he wouldnt be getting anything like that sort of performance car no matter how mature he might be at that age.

Mine about 4 years ago, had a blackout at the wheel, so surrendered my licence for 12 months. Was gutted, a V Limited RA too.

Before,

After

Basically was on the way to a meet (the first my Mrs ever attended, and the last), doing about 55mph along a national speed limit road, blacked out, foot rested on accelerator and off we went. The wife steered us into a nice soft hedge after the earth bank. She pulled the handbrake so hard she bent it. I came to in handcuffs in the back of a police car to be told I'd been arrested for drink driving. Blew a 0 on the breathalyzer then they let me go.
Didn't look to bad but when we got it on ramps the whole chassis under the front seats had bent.

Ouch!

I've seen so many accidents on that bend, amazed they have not put armco on the outside of it, to at least keep vehicles out of the hedge.

Before:

i was driving thru a dual carraigeway crossroads, lights were green in my favour when a double decker bus decided he would jump his filter light and could make his turn before me passing
- he was wrong

i swerved but clouted the rear n/side corner @ 40mph, came to an instant stop!!!

I walked away from this with whiplash, burns and some cuts to the wrists and hands

the entire car twisted, even the radio itself twisted so muchthe dvd inside shattered

the inside of the wheel is actually the inside of the other end of the wheel ripped in half and pulled to the front - mangled!!!

battery exploded

insurance replaced it within a month
