CCTV will be installed within a week, a diary of events is started, the local plod have advised we seek legal advice and I am already drafting a letter to the paper. I am going to ask him once more for an informal peace summit, but after that it goes formal only !
Sounds like a sensible course of action to me. And, by offering him/them yet another chance to resolve the problem peacfully shows your tolerent side. So what ever happens in the future can only be the result of their refusal and they deserve all that comes their way.

Classic schizophrenic behavior im afraid.. hard to do anything, in her mind you are after her and theres nothing in the world that can convince her otherwise im affraid.. sad because theres nothing much to do about it, she will continue her quest..

must say your restraining behavior is the right approach towards mental illness of this kind,

Pity she won't see sense. This way it is a problem that will be there for ever.

I have some ideas:

Your choice of poo is up to you, dog is fine, baby is real good and if you really want to get personal - use your own poo.

I could press assault charges and she would be arrested and more than likely be in the cells overnight as they knew they were already busy back at base. Alternatively I could agree to her being given a formal written caution which will appear on her criminal record should she repeat such behaviour, but would allow the situation to hopefully calm down. I didn't really want to be responsible for a 65yo unwell woman spending the night in jail, so I opted for the lesser option.
You made the wrong decision. A night in the cells pondering how you got there does wonders for bringing people down a peg or two.

Steal a chicken every night and cook it up and leave it on her doorstep!

I don't like to waste food, but I have considered taking the odd chicken. I'm sure the ducks and geese would be lovely for Easter

Sorry you have to put up with all that. She certainly seems eo be unhinged. Doubt you will be able to come to a sensible answer.

I suppose the important thing is not to respond in a way that she could use to take any kind of legal action against you, as difficult as that might be.

We had this with our neighbours. A drunken father and a drunken daughter blaring out (I kid you not) rehab by amy winehouse and fighting in the early hours. Saw her outside one day and she told me if they were ever too loud just knock and ask to be quiet. Bearing in mind she approached me I didn't actually say anything. The next evening we could not hear our film with the volume up very loud so my partner went to ask them to turn it down. A few moments later I hear shouting so poke my head out the door to see if he's ok. The father than proceeds to attack me (eight months gone) so my partner hold him bak telling him to get in his flat or he'll really be in trouble. The whole time the daughters (40- something) is screaming at me saying we're stalking and harassing them! All other neighbours report to the police the incident and years of hassle theyve had including the men being perved on. One neighbour saw the father with a camara at the window when their kids were in the garden but the police said as it's on his property he can do what he likes!!!! Long story short got them kicked out after months of sleepless nights and stressful days. The new neighbour informs me that he's had calls about her already as they did an exchange to get her out quicker. Neighbours can be the cherry on the cake as most of mine where I now live are or they can make you want to kill yourself sometimes. You never know what it's like until you've experienced it yourself

I was a bad neighbour. 30, Single, partying a lot and had just bought a house in town. Sometimes there would be one party upstairs and another down. This was fine for a good while as one side of the terrace was empty and the other joined in. However, when the empty house was sold and a young lady moved in she didn't like it at all. It ended with her stood on my doorstep, drunk and armed with a carving knife just as the police arrived. Seeing your neighbour locked up on New Years Eve is a sobering experience, she sold the house I put the sound systems in the loft.
