UK has the best football infrastructure in the world. Massive allseater stadiums even MK dons can expand their stadium to 40,000. We also have the best security and in all honesty if there is one aspect of policing that our corrupt PC plods are good at its preventing and dealing with trouble at football matches. The stadium money does NOT come from the tax payer BTW.

I think my comment of yesterday comparing FIFA to the FIA is validated when you hear thay only 2 of the 22 voters actually bothered to read the technical report on our bid.
FIFA also stated they want to get more exposure for football in these regions. ????
Football is the biggest sport on the planet
English football is the most watched league on the planet, you'll see kids from all corners of the planet wearing premiership shirts, these "regions" FIFA refer too already snap up the live rights to the premier league, how much more exposure do they want ?
Lastly thanks to Sepp for reminding all of those voting the issues with the British media
These decisions had absolutely nothing to with sport or football, it is all about money and I think we can feel rightly agrieved that we have been shafted by the process and those behind it.

FIFA is well known for taking massive bribes, look at the ISL scandal over 100 million paid out in bribes, stangely the case was tried in switerland where corporate bribery was not a crime. The power base of FIFA is in Africa ,south America and Sep Blatter. Unless UEFA withdraws from FIFA and starts its own world cup nothing will change.

Yes I agree there is the F1 parallel, it seems FIFA are doing "an Ecklestone" and whoring out to the big money, all under the guise of 'taking football to new regions' etc and all this BS about the WC 'creating positive legacies' and changing societies etc.
I don't blame Qatar for wanting it but I really think it will be the most 'corporate' WC yet - with free to tickets to sponsors to fill the stadia - , the most geared around television, you can forget it as a 'genuine' live spectacle with real passionate fans.
I think FIFA runs are risk of alienating the core of football if it goes down this route too much, maybe Qatar will be a tournament too far?
One of Brazil, Russia, Qatar could be a true disaster easily.

Even if FIFA was squeeky clean I don't think we would get anywhere near getting the votes to secure a World Cup.
England projects a VERY BAD image of football with the top players almost rubbing peoples noses in it the fact they are on £kkk's per week.
A FIFA delegate who votes and is from a poor country is really gonna vote for us
I know let's get David Beckham up on stage and really rub it in, the votes will fly in FPMSL!
Fooking muppets the lot of em. Should have put Lembit and Boris Johnson up and then we could have got sympathy votes.

they'd simply ask people to submit bids and then actually read them. No money involved and very strict guidelines like the Olympics.
Isn't going to happen. The fact everyone knew the result before it was even announced shows you what sort of an organisation that fat goat is running.

I think that people who have been guilty of accepting bribes or those who are lumped along with them as well, get really fed up when that sort of thing is exposed. They think that is most unfair and will not look on the whistle blowers in a friendly light!

If they felt like that they'd hardly be up for a week long jaunt in five star luxury being swarmed up to by every country in it.

It's unbelievable. I bet the England camp (especially Beckham, Cameron, Prince William etc) must feel like right bunch of chumps having danced and prostrated themselves at the pleasure of these corrupted, bloated, good for nothings, only to find out it was already decided!
Who the **** are these people and who appointed them?

The info should be in the submission and it should be based on that alone. Presentation and a Q&A afterwards. No need for the week of having to swap spit with a load of self important Berkshire Hunts all paying themselves the African debt each year to 'police' football.
People say the players arfe over paid for what they do. Tell me how a trained chimp couldn't do the job of FIFA.

Very surprised by this comment from you F1, Russia is one of the most racially intolerant countries in the world. I wonder if FIFA are still running that 'say no to racism campaign?' If so they better up their game!!!

People aren't shocked that England lost, they are shocked that two of the least impressive bids won, confirming that the whole bidding process is an expensive sham.
