Yeah u had the same train of thought as me, WRX-S to 330s, but i couldnt get finance against one, unless i threw a large chunck of cash i didnt have down.
I wish id have kept my GT1s too but i,ll buy some later or have these sprayed.

Basics are Salsa, if u can search subaru and get a 330s great cars.
a 330r will still be premium i think at least in-line with a 330s 2nd hand.
if you wanna go for it get a white new shape hatch with all the spec c suspension etc

new shape hatch is out our price range TBH, 8k more doesn't seem worth it.
so.... if i can get a 330S its a bit better than a 330R (as its a PPPcar) but performance wise they're as good as each other.
been told of a 330s today at £22k with 11k miles aparently in Milton Keynes.
Is this a good buy over a £21k 330 PPP car with 7k miles?

recaros
satnav
ipod+bt
push button
priv glass
that is what you are getting for 1k. Seems like a bargain for the 1k, and possibly the 330s will hold price better down the line due to it being a special.
I would sit in the seats of both cars tbh, find out what you like the most. The seats would be enough to swing my choice because the rest of it is just fluff. Some do not like the seat bolsters on the recaros especially if you are a wide *** like me

need another £8-10k for a saloon
330s or 330r in white are like hens teeth at the moment.
can't seem to find any with milage lower than about 20k-30k and they still want £24-26k
for two year old cars.

Target cash price for a 59 plate full spec 330s with around 12k mileage should be around £23k.
Target cash price for a 58 plate full spec 330s with around 24k mileage should be around £18k.
The vast majority of 330s trade advertised are at increased prices to accomodate a seemingly generous part-ex offer.
Also these PPP Stis (or 330r) are way over the top. They are usually without front splitter, spotlights, Recaros, sat nav etc. and some still have 17" alloys.

The latest 2011 STi is about £7k overpriced, especially when you consider that it is only marginally quicker than the still on offer WRX-S which can be had for around £14k cheaper.
Patience is the key. Looking on Pistonheads and Trovit, nothing appeals at the moment. I have been looking for a white 330s but the possibility of engine failure on anything over around 300 bhp has tempered my enthusiasm so the deal must be right.
I may eventually go for a JDM 2.0 litre import, but I'm in no rush.

On the surface, two years old next month, low mileage a plus, cracking wheels, but I wouldn't give more than £20k cash for it. When these cars are out of warranty in a year or so, the fear of engine failure could cause the bottom to drop out of the market. It is possible that 3 year old models could be going for less than £12k.

seriously?
would you try them at £20k?
My thing is that at £25k you can get a pre reg 60plate typeUK, I know its not PPP's or a 330s, but the 3year warranty can save you 1200.. (£400 a year on extended Subaru warranty plan)
we plan on buying extra warranty to go on top of any warranty that's left on the car, the way it sounds extra warranty is needed if these are going to go pop. How many have had them go bang?
the 08 plate 330PPP car we looked at on saturday needs MOT come 1st week in April 2011 (so its 3yrs old next april) this was on at £19k.
its now making me think what to be looking at and at what age.

Littleted, I'm saying around £20k for a nearly two years old 58 plate 330s, not for a one year old 59 plate. In addition, I doubt whether there are many willing to fork out over £30k of their own hard earned to buy a 296 bhp engined 2011 STi.

been into Nottm Subaru this morning,
he said Subaru UK have ex lease/company cars come back to them to be prep'd for resale (I think he said at West Bromwich)
he rang through to find they have a RED, 330s 09plate 8kmiles cars.. that will be on sale in the new year £24,995.
Might be possible to get a TypeUK STi, under £20k and get it PPP'd.... or similar re map and put some alloys on? this could be a better value option?
