Also surely Tracker get informed as to the location. I know where mine is, as I said "I`m paying for it, I`m damn well watching you do it". He tried a few places I was "Not there, or there!!" lol.

Yeah, i've seen them on my trawlling today. Good little extra i suppose if you don't have a 'proper' one fitted. Or, if other people use your car or your a bit about the Mrs's/kids/employees movements. Would be an exellent feature if you could text it to cut the engine. I would defo get one then.

Just had a tracker fitted and was shocked to read that they only give you 5 false alerts otherwise its £15.00 per phone call there after!!
Seems abit steep if you ask me but worth it if the car gets stolen!

been looking at these ebay sim card ones myself , and from what i have read you can send a text and it will cut the fuel pump , also some come with little mics so you can ring the tracker and listen to whats being said in the car ...
not sure how good they are as not got that far into looking yet

We recently ran a reader offer for a cracking tracking system. Normally £250 for the unit, plus connection, then £6.50 a month tracking fee.
Offer price is £99, which includes connection and the first three months service.
Super simple to install (two wires to +, one to -), then hide it wherever you want. They recently got a car back in 12 minutes.
Has a really nice tracking interface they use, 3 day internal battery, geo fence service for when you go on holiday and they'll even contact you if your battery goes flat
Anyhow, if anyones interested www.bit.ly/skytag is the product, then use the code MAXPOWER at the checkout to get the discount.
Hope it helps someone

Why wouldnt you be allowed to know where your trackers fitted ?
I mean if you get mugged for your keys your not going to say to the boy 'By the way theres a tracker behind the glove box ?'

Found it!
It has been earthed to it's own earthing point which had intermitent continuity. All sorted. Rang tracker and all is well again it would seem.
The unit is pretty well tucked away, but as Moley says, if you know what you are looking for it could easily be disabled.
Thanx for all the tips.
