What amuses me is, even though my name on here is evorach, people still assume I'm a bloke.

When me and the other half were on the front when I had my black evo, a guy walked past and said to my fella, 'nice car mate'. When he came back down other half had gone in and there was only me with my car and he never said a word.

Hi Helen, female scooby driver here! I've got 05 blue wrx, it's my 3rd scooby, driving them for over 6 years now. I always get odd looks. Oh, and I never let hubby drive it When he threatened to get one himself, I told him I'd divorce him if he got a better one - he's got a Focus ST instead!

Much the same as me, currently have the STi and a Nissan Silvia S15, previously Nissan Skyline R33, 350z etc. Once you have the bug, you have it!

Oh - and very pretty car!

Yep - experienced this too - usually at car shows.

It makes me laugh, I'll be pootling along not in a hurry on my commute to work and I get the usual dribs and drabs of boy racers and 'men' in big cars wanting to race but I don't rise to it, let them pass and they always get the fright of their life when it's a woman driving.

Or even better if I over take or put my foot down, when they realise it's a woman leaving them standing

Wife was an Ambulance driver so not averse to some toe down. Now a care assistant. She is always amused at the looks she gets when turning up at a new clients in her Prodrived Classic.

Sold her 944 turbo (which was a quicker car with better brakes) as it is difficult to get a wheelchair in (she's only 5'2") but still has to borrow my Wagon on wheelchair days LOL

Very nice

Unfortunately my first encounters and experiments with the limits of RWD (at low speed on a wet road with rubbish tyres that came on the car I hasten to add) didn't work out well...

I met my (now) wife at the local scooby meet when she had her P1 we had to sell it this year to put the funds towards the wedding which she is gutted about but still drives a quick car daily, a BMW 545i and she cant wait for me to finish mine off so she can do a trackday in it!

My wife uses the car more than me, think she quite likes the attension!

She does get some shocked looks though as she's driving around in the modded hatch with our 3 year old in the back, she nearly got run off the road a while back by an X5 driver who wanted to talk to her about the car, think he was about to chat her up until he spotted my daughter hanging her Barbie out of the window!
