i would say the Impreza would probably be quicker round a track, due to mechanical grip.

but on track, who would be having more fun (which is what counts unless your racing).... the M3.

Nah i changed from my e46 m3 to a scoob lol, only because some ****** nicked it and i would of never been able to replaced what i had, i impored a whole titanium dixis exhaust from japan wich cost me over 4k ! But i would neva swap back now! My 440bhp lardy **** newage kills m3's!

had 3 m3"s all smg loved them but love my 03 sti more only got 380bhp for now but 2.1 stroker next year

Newage sti 330bhp here, I regularly come across an 06 plate M3 not sure what it has, but it's always very close, M3 seems to have a slight edge, I certainly couldn't lose him keeping it fairly sane on the roads anyway.

What Tony said makes the most sense.

my mates got a e36 m3 and my fairly standard classic whoops it all the time.

he`s now got a e46 m3 and i,m still faster to about 110 and about 3 car lengths in front but then he does catch me up and over takes me.

but round town i rule its on on motorways he rules
