Everything I've said is "like it is" but if you want to believe the news media feel free. I'm sick to death of it now. ![Hjtwofinger](images/smilies/hjtwofinger.gif)
Did we make mistakes? Of course. Companies held it's hands up to that.
Did the weather conspire against us? Certainly.
Is there more to the story than the papers have written. Absolutely.
I'm done.

What? are you actually trying to make out that mother nature had an agenda to paralyse Heathrow airport lol
Many airports around the world were hit by snow, what turned LHR into the laughing stock/ source of frustration, is that all the other airports were open and running within 48hrs, yes they had delays, but they coped far better than LHR
Forgot to add :- a couple of years ago i flew to Luxembourg in snow, as we were coming in to land the captain announced we had to do a go-around, as they had to clear the runway due to sudden snow flurrys... we did a go-around and landed.. 12" of snow on the ground...![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Now they managed to clear a whole runway in a go around, and kept clearing the runway throughut the course of the day So why couldn't LHR do the same? It wasn't as if they didn't know they were going to get snow did they?
That was the preamble, I cant wait to see the " lessons learnt" & who/ what is responsible for the debacle to come out in the later month's / enquirys that are bound to follow.
