Looks nice, does have a few mods and looks like its also got gauges on the dash?
Miles seem low but agree the steering wheel does look well worn, my friends STi6 in Yellow has done 100,000 kms and his wheel looks new..

1 suspect its 1 previous owner + importer hence the check saying import in March 2007, last owner change in April.

To be honest, my friend bought a STi6 couple of months ago and there is a fair few on for anything from £3,000 to £6,500 but the best is to buy one like my mates.
Standard with just OEM bits added, like the LAMCO guages and do them up yourself to the spec you want..

As a side note, he paid £3000 for his yellow 2001 Y reg STi for a quick cash sale, it was on for £3995 then reduced to £3600 but the seller negociated as it run out of tax and he never drove it in the past 3 months due to having a dog and buying a volvo plus it was a 600 mile round trip from Birmingham to just past Ayr - Scotland. His one the yellow is still in nice nick and not faded.

I'd look out for one thats been undersealed also.

Parts are cheap and easy to get also if you do decide to modify it later on, i just got him a genuine sti6 spoiler in the same color as his car for £160 from mattybr5 and should be getting a dump valve/air induction kit for cheap also..

your right, defo looks like its got gauges on the dash, mmmmm this standard car isn't looking very standard atm.

defo gotta be an import, which could explain the mileage, it was in KM's and has been converted to miles using a low mileage set of clocks, which would be rather illegal, but really no way to tell once its in the country.

think if i was to go and look at it, i'd be taking a scooby expert to put it through its paces, any one up for it? lol

Imports from Japan should / mostly have an Auction Certificate which will verify miles at point of auction which is usually when it left the country ... attached is the one for my old Spec C.

If it seems to good to be true,IT USUALLY IS.and its from a car stealer so odds on the mileage will be bullsh*t and the engine could have been replaced, beware matey and tread carefully.

Both of these are version 5's (forget what that top one says, its a version 5 not a 6), the bottom one, well lets say to "legally" have the car MOT'd it needs a rear fog, and a cat 2 alarm should be fitted as a minimum requirement for esva (even though people will say that they dont need esva as its over 10 years old, they still require most parts for the MOT).
Either way I would keep looking, you will also have to take into consideration that if your taking the car to Germany, they may not pass the german standard for their MOT as these are imports.
