Cameron "Tough times ahead"

Until the government grows a pair of ***** and reduces the £200 billion welfare budget we will just continue to sink ever further into debt. All this tinkering around with fuel duty is bollox and wont even touch the sides of the national debt.
And I have not even heard from new labour since they were evicted, I think they know it is too early to blame the new government for the monumental **** up we are in. Come the next election though they will be banging on about cuts and national debt like it had nothing to do with them.
Until then however they will just stay quiet and send their socialist and commie pals to smash **** up every time there is a riot.

Why don't you guys stop your girly moaning. You are all always complaining about something. Things aren't as bad as you make out.
You have a roof over your head, food on the table, schools to send your kids to and a hospital if you are sick.
If fuel is getting expensive here is an idea, buy a car with a smaller engine. I got fed up with fuel costs so rather than crying like the babies on here I'm changing the M5 for a diesel.
Life is not that tough for most people in this country, you should look around to see the conditions billions of people around the world have to live with.
If there is to be a small downward pressure on living standards for a few years so what? Make some adjustments and just get on with it. Stop your frigging endless moaning

I am lucky in that I do very few miles, but for anyone who is travelling a longish ciommute evey day the rise in fuel costs must be crippling.

I will continue to moan as and when it suits me. Happy new year

My opinion is as valid as yours so if I want to say I find your moaning annoying and unwarranted I am allowed to.
As Chip said you've all never had it so good.
F1 fan, my point is still valid no matter what car I own. Don't forget that most people on here moaning are driving a Scoob which is hardly frugal. If the fuel costs are too high buy a 1 litre diesel Fiesta and stop moaning.

You don't like the moaning, fair enough. I want to moan now and again, fair enough. We'll just get on with that
Oh and just to keep you informed, I was whinging about the cost of my heating oil, not how much it costs to fill up my car.
If you do not have heating oil costs, you really are not in a position to comment as to whether I have never had it so good, are you

You opinion is not in question. I prefer it if you do NOT tell me what to do.

And I was not actually trying to tell you what to do anymore than you can tell the heating companies what to do. I meant I WISH people would stop moaning about unwarranted things.

It seems you are wanting to "stop people from their friggin endless moaning" but be free to moan about the friggin moaners who are moaning in the first place and then object to when people effectively tell you to keep out of it.
Anyway I think that telling people to sell their scoobies and trade them for a 1 liter Fiesta with out moaning is a bit of a joke. When the government can be seen making **** up after **** up, gold sales a good example, and then asking the public to sweep up after them people have a right to moan when they have worked and saved hard to buy something they enjoy and then forced to give it up.

Anyhoo. I`m glad its been said its gonna be tough, for far to long we`ve had crap from these Communist/Socialists, about taking money from the Rich to pay for the can`t be asked to work. But they made life for those can`t be asked to work better than those who do work that are on lower incomes, so shafting us. But at the same time speaking crap saying its all great (esp as they HID the amounts they were borrowing).
Watched a Mock the Week aaaaages ago filmed about a year before the election, they said in the new years honours list that Lord Ocean Finance will be taking his seat in the Lords. How close was that to being real lol.
Look at their adverts, "Got debt?? Consolidate all your loans into one big loan, then one easy monthly bill (that you`ll never afford), and why not borrow more to buy a new car, go to Barbados on holiday for a year, and buy a hot tub!"
Thats what Labour did, now we gotta bend over and take the medicine, and better rather a short sharp shock than a long drawn out lingering death.

Yes but Lee my comments were not directed specifically at you, its the general moaning culture that seems to be becoming more and more common.

I did feel justified whinging about the heating oil situation as it is a bloody joke. Now I've made my point, I will not whinge about it until it goes up again. ok

Forcing everyone to buy 1 liter fiastas means that less fuel will be bought. In tern this means less money generated to smooth over government wasting. So what will they do then? The easy cop out way I would imagine, stick fuel prices up higher. Now we are all forced to go on bicycles and we go backwards by 100 years. Transporting things will be ridiculously expensive and the economy will collapse. Then the government will have to think of a new way of making money so lets cut to the chase and think of alternatives now so we can get on and enjoy our cars in peace.

I have decided to give you special privelages, you can moan whenever you like

Either you can afford it so pay it or you can't in which case sell it and buy a fiesta. I'm just fed up of grown men moaning like biatches.
Given the current climate we are all having to make adjustments, some people just do it and get on with life without crying about it

What do you think they would do to address the balance?
Maybe a fuel duty rise in Petrol/Diesel? Eh?
So now everyone are driving around in small engined cars that on anything other than a small commute will be a nightmare to travel in.
Brilliant. Why didn't we all think of this sooner?
#57
Just suppose `IF` everybody swapped their cars for more fuel efficient cars, do you not suppose that the Government would see a reduction in it's coffer's?

Petrol is cheap, very cheap per litre.
Compared to the Whisky I'm drinking right now
The more duty that goes on fuel the less people will drive, the less money in the coffers, the more income tax goes up.
It's a vicious circle, non of us like to pay more than we need/would like but that's life and none of us little band of gatherers on here will change that.
I'm afraid we're just going to have to suck it up for the foreseeable.
Happy New Year.
