whats it need is for loads of cars to block the motorway and not move till they put prices down wagon drivers too they cant do a thing if people stick together might as well scrap road tax while there at it cos the roads are all ****ed the money just goes in there pockets

The Government could easily cut the duty to help people out 'in this time of austerity...........'
They are great at cutting things, it's second nature; education, NHS, Social Security........ They just don't care, it's always about 'the bigger picture' Just what is this bigger picture? Has anyone other than those at the top actually seen it? I seriously doubt it..........

Even though its half the price, as far as I know it works out about a third cheaper to run than petrol

No,in a "democracy" the individual should not decide how much pollution they produce.Fuel Tax is an excellent way of controlling pollution/fuel price,if it isn't society would object,correct??
I dont know of anyone (with authority) who would argue that oil is NOT harmful to the environment,but an outright ban WOULD massively affect the economy and society (how would you get food to the supermarkets,the lack of revenue,which affects jobs, which the governments need for health,education,police,etc?????),best to TAX those who can afford to pay it,correct???

If the students protest, then I don't see why motorists don't do something also. Its worth remembering that its just not us lucky people with sports cars thats being screwed, its normal families trying to make a living driving to work, taking kids to school, self employed running companies etc. Pretty much everyone somewhere is being screwed over so an organised protest would probably be quite popular if organised properly with the right message and facts behind it.
