The Prodrive pack is made for the rest of the modifications, where as it "can" run well on similar mods (2.5 inch exhaust with centre cat removed) it doesnt like full decats or a change in the cat in the downpipe, I have seen first hand (on 98+ ron fuel) that it can happily det and overboost.
I would go for the custom remap for your mods tbh, you will gain more power (on average about 20bhp over that of a PPP ecu) and you can go for a sports cat.
Also look at changing some of the pipework to better stuff (the classic STI stuff will suffice )

the reason for mentioning the PPP was because he is keeping the td04 & already has the centre section removed and an upgraded backbox so all he would need is the STI intercooler Y-pipe & the ECU.
obviously if looking at different turbo's, FMIC's etc then PPP is no good for him, but for a cheap upgrade on an otherwise std car the PPP is worth the money

But if he goes sports cat then he will have to remap the car, the PPP ecu wont like it even though lots of people say you can run them ok, not alot of people actually monitor how its running!

yep granted if he goes sport cat it probably wont work. was only giving him advice on a cheaper option if he doesnt want to go the full hog remap
if i was looking to get a proper remap, id be gathering all the bits together fitting and then get it remapped once, rather than remap add new bits then remap again, but cost looks to be an issue for OP - which is more or less the reason i binned of the idea of full remap (sold turbo, downpipe etc) and went the PPP route
all comes down to just how far (or how much) you want to invest in making your car faster!`

Yeah struggling for funds but don't want my car hurting itself and would like a sports CAT
What a different boost solenoid as well I think, fuel pumps on it's way, then sports CAT and different pipework I guess. Then I will be looking at the remap but didn't want to spend a fortune on the simtek as i'm not pushing for big power, but just tuned slightly
