Some people 'unfriend' because they only want to only keep a small and tight circle around themselves, they are the opposite for 'facebook ******' who friend every person they meet or come across in anyway.

i deleted my facebook account about a week ago all it is is the same rubbish just a different day, and apparently if your trying to find a job the employers look up your name on facebook to see what your like for example wt you get up to in ur spare time

Now i'm not defending facebook in the slightest but it did save me potentially getting a speeding ticket today by people posting up the location of local speed camera vans.
Facebook can be grand as long as you make your profile private and only accept friend requests from people you actually like/trust.

to be honest, i find it hard to judge my speed at times as reading the speedo whilst checking facebook updates on my blackberry can be quite tricky, so every little helps.

Here's my FB 3 year toe dip ...
Signed up shortly after my divorce, board one night ,weeks later, ex sister inlaw's married best friend with young kids contacts me and sayes hi etc, haven't seen her for about 12 years although we live about 2 miles away , i always had a crush on her,(think she knew via SIL), i was in my early 20's then and now 40!!..Anyhow went out a few times in 2008 for drinks before having a proper 'affair' with with her for about 18 months ...still text each other now ,but nothing else ..
What made me delete my account (and my best mate did the same with the same gripe)was another good mate and his wife who constantly talk about there 2 boys (6 years old ish )..frigging loads of pictures of the "Boys", here ,there ,every frigging where ,how great they are ,there constant movements, what there doing today and eating tonight (do i care !!) NO ....,my mate and his wife even spoke to each other at home via FB ...it is so sad.,prob sat next the each other on the sofa,I know i could block them or delete them but its just wound me up and knowing some night after a beer or 6 i'd write something nasty..( My teenage kids still tell me about there sad updates..grrrrr)*RANT MODE OFF *
My last status update a year ago was ....Jon has just been to Tesco ,where he was offered a bag for life,he kindly refused saying he did have one but he divorced her ..

I just got round to watching Social Network last night and since viewing this pile of plop I have felt the need to delete my Facebook account.
Anyone else felt this way after watching the film?
