The only things that springs to mind when Honda are mentioned are excellent generators and clever adverts........

Honda have enjoyed hugely successful spells in world rally.......no they have'nt, they cant think outside the box.
Well , the F1 thingy didn't go well i agree , But F1 is not even a car is a racing bolide , but i must disagree with some things you've said bud. Design - as we all have different tastes so everyone see a beauty in a car differently as well. Engines - are amazing , i'm talking about v-tec, type-r. Integra type-r in 96 was as fast as my scoob v3 sti on tsukuba circuit. The latest civic type r saloon FD2 was 1 sec slower than a sti spec c Airton Sena helped developing nsx type r model which the later generation 1 was woopin big power super cars still a couple years back with just 3.2 ltr v tec engine.... And they have never been into rallying , they've been a tarmac car all the time ,the concept of the car is different from a scoob. Competing in GT500, Le Mans with Keiichi Tsuchiya. So it has some history as well bud.... super reliable one

Yup all fair enough mantazini, i said 4 imes Honda engines are superb. However i would show pictures of an NSX....LOL...it is 15 years old, and never been changed, might have looked "modern" in 1985 they sell literally 5 a year...why?.....because Honda = DULL, no one wanted a Honda for the price of a Porsche, they wanted a Porsche.

I grant you that they have made good cars, i had a VTEC prelude JDM some years ago, good car, and the Integra providing you want a bone crushing ride, and dont mind cabin noise beyond belief is a good car.

And SUBARU .... are they the king of rallying? How are they doing this year? How did they do last year?

They pulled out of rallying when the sensible money pulled out of buying their cars ... sad, but true!

From Rally great to Council Estate Chavmobile ....

The world has moved on, Subaru and their buyers haven't as yet - the fuel price may well force both to - which is where I came in on Post 1.

For my requirements it was the perfect choice.

No-one ever got rich by spending money they didn't feel warranted it ... a point worth remembering when you next buy your neon lights for your chavmobile

You REALLY cannot want me to list the links to Subaru engine failures, can you??

If we are getting into an Engine failure war the Subaru will lose badly against Honda.

Anyone can list Forum threads on any car in an attempt to show a poor vehicle - to think otherwise just shows you up in all honesty.

The same old points, arguments, retorts and mocking re-hashed by PSLewis, can't you at least be original and let the thread become organic rather than keep on repeating the same old twaddle that you posted in post #1?

The simple facts are that a Diesel Honda Civic is not a performance motor vehicle no matter how much PSLewis wishes it to be (perhaps it is compared to one of those OAP motorised shopping trolleys).

And that Impreza's have always been and will remain to be a relatively expensive vehicle to maintain, run and insure but I sure as hell didn't buy an Impreza for it to return 55mpg, I bought it to bring a smile to my face and not my wallet.

So, let me get this right - as quite frankly I'm staggered - you find this thread boring, twaddle, pointless ......

Yet for some reason, some weird factor in your mind, makes you want to log onto ScoobyNet - open this thread - read posts - conclude that it's not your thing - and then (this is the frankly worrying thing) to actually POST on it!!!!

That IS what you just did, isn't it?? - I'm not seeing a mad mirage am I?? Because there are 56,749 threads you COULD have opened which may appeal to your tastes .... instead of this one

EH? No it's not ......

It's VERY similar to comparing a Subaru Impreza to a Honda Civic ......

Or, if you like, a ChavMobile to a modern superbly built Senior Citizen Mobile .......

That car was being driven by a kiddie under 30 ..... most of that age cannot drive in the dry, let alone snow and wet!!!

Certainly not driven by a driver of advancing age ... the vast experience sees to that.

I think that some people after 70 should be baned to drive, cause their reaction time is becoming 2 slow with the age so they create dangerous situations on the road..... Vast experience ... Join us at go kart session mr advanced driver or @ brands at the end of february..... I think you getting short of material......... woop woop Mr. Lewis

Fuel to spiral upwards from April so the News says today - more Scoobies packed away in garages as weekend playthings I guess?
