Looks like that to me. The Students stood their ground and showed disgust. OK, as I said before, over the top, but who can blame them. It's about time a few more of us started to fight back instead of just taking it on the chin and doing nothing about it. The last few years have been hard, and it is going to get harder, but why don't they tackle the real problems instead of going after easy targets.

It's all very well to say the punishment is disproportionate because its the common man against some sort of supposed liberal elite. You would be singing a different tune if your husband/wife was rendered a brain damaged vegetable pissing through a tube by his actions.
Trashing the tory hq may also seem like a good laugh but somebody owns that building, perhaps even your pension provider. And what if your wife was stuck in that building at the time? Perhaps there innocently delivering something and e nds up surrounded my masked men burning the place down.
It is not acceptable to behave like this in a civilised society and unless an example is made now even otherwise well behaved youngsters will be encouraged to do wrong.
Gandhi managed peaceful civil disobedience in the face of an occupying colonial army, these kids should try reading a history book

He is 18 years old. Well old enough to realise the incredibly dangerous consequences of his action. It was only pure luck that no one was hit by that extinguisher, and if someone had been if they were lucky enough not to be killed then thay would have been very seriously injured, probably for life!
How can any reasonable person throw such a missile off the top of a building into a crowd and say that he did not realise the risk involved, or that he did not really mean to hurt anyone?
I think he deserved every bit of the sentence he was given and I dont think he should get time off the sentence either.

The sentence was spot on, the offender was extremely lucky he did not kill any one.
He can think how lucky he is not having to pay Uni fees when begins his career in mcDonalds cooking burgers upon release.
Just need a few more identified
