a man was driving on the highway with his hood down and he desides... **** it im going to go fast so he hits the gas and gets to 100mph when he sees a cop turn the lights on so the guy hits the gas harder
but then realizes he shouldnt run and pulls over ,,when the cop gets to his door the cop says this is the end of my shift and its been a long day for both of us, i dont want to do the paper work so i tell you what if you give me a excuse why you ran that i havent heard i will let you go
so the guy thinks for a sec and says " well my wife ran off with a cop the other day and i thought you where trying to give her back"
the cop threw him his wallet and he was free to go.

When i was stopped in my old gti6 it was by a traffic officer who id had a run in with before regarding mods on my old polo,at that time i gave him loads of stick as he was just trying to find an issue with my car but couldnt .
when he stopped me in the gti6 i was speeding and shot past him whilst he was pulling out of a junction,he pesued me but i saw him instantly and pulled straight over,
When i got in there car they said(do you know you were speeding?) i asked how fast i was going, then a long silence.......Well we carnt say as we didnt have enough time to turn the camera round to face the back of your car!

You are PSLewis and I claim my £5....
Sounds like you have little respect for the law in general, getting arrested in the past probably rubbed your ego up the wrong way. We all dislike rules, however thats life my friend, like it or lump it. Spitting your dummy out at a Policeman is more than likely to result in a harsher outcome than if you play nice & fess up to being on the wrong side of the law.
The flip side of this is there are some coppers that do have attitudes & like nothing better than to hand out tickets, regardless of discretionary powers that they can use. Giving them some lip is only going to exacerbate a bad situation, in the future, engage brain before opening gob!

Good to see the advise landed.
Rob seriously relax, clearly some people have come across to you as condescending, and it sucks to get a ticket.
I answered your initial question which is 3 points, thats almost certainly what it will be, or if you feel the conditions were in your favour (winding road, poorly lit or any other mitigation you can think of) take your chances and say you were not speeding.
A young (ish) fella in a performance car at that hour...i dont like your chances. p.s. dont mention pigs in court, and dont go Duuuuuuuuuh to the judge....

To the poster: this really is a stupid thread. You did 45 in a 30 and then gave the police some attitude. Now you are going to court and probably going to get a nice big fine and 4 or 5 points. Well tough luck. Ain't life a bitch! Slow down and grow up is my advice

end of the day you were in the wrong, so just take the punishment and shut up.
muppets like you make the police target the rest of the respectable impreza driving community
but on a plus point, thanks for the enterainment, your attitude is so terrible its actually funny

Have you tried a chastity block? They are great, you still get that foot-to-the-floor feeling excitement but without the points because the chastity block saves you from going too fast.
You need to get a bit of wood, preferably Oak - if not try Walnut, and fashion it into a cube shape approx 2" by 3" (you can fine tune these dimensions to set different top limits)
When the cube has been worked into a satisfactory shape and finish you need to get some sticky velcro pads and fix them (x2) to the bottom of the cube (for securing to carpet). Then simply fix the chastity block to the carpet underneath the go pedel and you're good to go safe in the knowledge that even though you're "flooring it" you will only be doing 30mph. Awesome.
For those of us with weight issues, use high density foam to make your chastity block. Great for performance without the extra pay load. Nice.

Just smile and be polite , it goes along way ! Ive been pulled in various cars and normally we just end up chatting about them ,the police have a hard job and ive nothing but respect for what they do . Just grit your teeth and be polite , its got to be better than the alternative !
Id imagine at least 3 points and a fine for that speed in a 30 zone .

I can understand your frustration. You'll be thinking I"f only I'd remained polite" instead of coming out with the most common response to being caught speeding. I'm sure the cops were well impressed.... Folks on here are similarly impressed as you can see.
Still, I'm sure you will learn from your experience and it will stand you in good stead for when you grow up. The fine, points and increased insurance premium will be a reminder in the short term.
You were travelling at 50% over the 30 mph limit. Accept you were in the wrong. Be a man.
The "pig" may decide not to bother with the paperwork, in which case you have made yourself look like a proper **** on here.
Well done and we look forward to more of your enthralling posts soon .

I got stopped for speeding in my hatch down the a1, I pulled up on the slip road got outta my car straight into the back of the t5, Do you know why I've stopped you sir... Yes Speeding. then the usual crack about me owning the car and what I did for a day job etc etc then ran some checks on me, Put me in his position & said what would you do if i had been speeding & you'd stopped me. My reply well in all honesty I'd give you an damn good **** kicking give you some point and a fine and send you on your way lol His answer well unfortunatly yours is a court appearance *GULP* at that point **** i've lost my license.. But he replied, Well I like you and the big factor is you were honest with me and not an **** so what I'm gonna do is give you the biggest bollocking of your life and send you on your way because beleive it or not we arnt all Tw@ts and i do admire a performance car been used to its potential, But please think in future what could happen if someone happens to pull out infront of you or at worst a tyre blows out, Which got me thinking allot so steadied up and carried on my way. so theres allot to be said about remaining calm and telling the truth and just doing what your aksed in a polite manner

I've had a few dealings with the Police and I must say that their attitude was poor.
It does seem that the Police have big chips on their shoulders for some reason.
I've been pulled over for no other reason than that I had a very nice car and I was young.
I've worked hard to be in the job that I am now. And I know for a fact that I pay more tax than they do. But because I drive nice cars, they think they can pull me over and treat me like a criminal.
