Just wondered if it was an oversight or intentional as some people fit them that way cos it`s supposed to make the braking more aggressive but wears the pads quicker.

18's is what I will be running on my track car purely so that the 12 pots fit though
17's on my road car just now and it will be staying that way as there is issues with 18's catching my arches

I know most thieves are stupid, but this one left the bricks and forgot to take the bloody wheel.

I had 225 /35 / 18 on my car once that size does not help the car what so ever. I could feel every bump and notch in the road. Horrible.

40 profile will be fine.

When upgrading from 17" to 18" wheels would a geometry change/setup be needed?

I'm considering swapping my stock STI wheels for some BBS CH when it's time for new rubber.

I'm running 215/40/18 on my Classic. I have run 215/45/18 but they looked a little odd and it did increase the gearing a bit. Personally, I'd not worry too much about the speedo being out as your speedo probably reads on the high side anyway and running 'oversize' tyres will probably make it more accurate lol, I know mine did!
