Rourke got his face messed up during his boxing 'career', and has been having plastic surgery since.

I can understand it where somebody has a real hangup, i.e. ladies with no ***** to speak of or a particularly freaky nose, I have farly large ears and took a little bit of stick but I never really all that bothered, you get less obsessed with yourself as you get older, its very wearing being so self concious all the time, mainly to attract the opposite sex but when you get older, for most people anyway its quite liberating not having to be so concerned, thats not letting yourself go, just being less neurotic about it.
I tend to find the ones that have the surgery aspire to a nondescript ideal of beauty or masculinity and end up looking like clones, sometimes the most attractive people are the ones that arent conventionally good looking, perhaps with odd little faults, ***** dont have to be massive footballs, skin doesnt have to be like an 18 year old and as for blokes getting pec and calf inplants, just go to the gym you fanny if you want those !
Getting older isnt a crime, do the basics, i.e. dont smoke, keep your weight under cotnrol (working on that one), bit of Moisturiser, sleep and drink plenty of water and get on with it, really gets on my **** when those in their twenties start callign me old, I counter that being 40 I have years in the bank and that statistically there is a fair chance they wont make this grand old age and to be honest with your lifestyle you probably wont
Hollywood is terrible though, very narrow window of acceptability to become famous, same with weight and looks.

Being younger hardly makes anyone more attractive unless they really are. There are plenty of younger ugly fekkers knocking about in this world, and the attractive older ones won't even bother giving them any run for their 2ps.
