Listen you have to look at it from other peoples point of view....you trying to buy 2 cars at the same time, giving them hope that its going to sell only to be let down. When you see it happen it feels ****e. then you see other people saying the same thing and it doesnt look good. If its genuine then fair enough but you cant blame people for feeling like this.

maybe he was genuine..ill never know, my point was the fact that if he wanted my car so bad like he said surly he could have waited untill i replied. he then proceeds to comment on my thread (as do others who have nothing to do with the sale).slagging me off for not replying quick enough.

as for going on a train journey with 6 grand to steal a car... that wouldnt happen would it, if you were going to steal it you wouldnt take any cash would you!

also where in my thread have i posted that i couldnt reply because i had no credit?

When I was selling mine just before Christmas I had a guy called Mus ring to see if he could come and view my car. He said he was coming from East London but needed to be back home for work in the afternoon so could I let him come about 8.30 - 9.00am. He rang again to confirm so I postponed some of my work to accommodate this and waited and waited and then called the guy but no response. Why do people do this?

Hi guys.

It appears that there is a link between the users "danssti" and "DEMOLITION MAN". Given the recent problems with danssti, we have decided to ban DEMOLITION MAN as a precaution.

Regards

AL

Powerwrx you sent me a private msg saying you could not contact me as you didnt have credit???? got the msg to prove it which is why i asked for your no in 3 seperate msgs which you never gave me. I dont know why you are carrying this on its your loss get over yourself. If anyone should be named and shamed it should be yourself for messing me around. Dont turn this on me to make yourself look better, its about time some people on here grew up cant believe how paranoid certain members are on here its a joke if you like your car so ****ing much dont sell it!!!!!!

I feel sorry for the guy who actually buys your car if this is the grief your gonna give them talk about putting them off its no wonder you aint sold it you think everybody on here is out to steal it pffft. Glad i dont live in your area if thats what its like up there!

I did just that to get my current bugeye. My wife and I traveled with £6k in cash on four trains to Dumfries to see the car for the first time and ended up driving it back. Took us fourteen hours in total and was well worth it.

I had emailed the seller several times and he was very honest about the few problems with the car so I was satisfied enough to take the risk of travelling up there and it turning out to be a heap.

Sometimes you need to travel to get the car you want, much to my wifes annoyance

I did last weekend (well 5k cash) train journey got picked up at the station checked the car over test drive etc bought it drove home, and when I bought my evo I paid £200 deposit to hold it for me to have a look, then I travelled a few hundred miles with llk cash on me again by train, met the seller at the station saw the car etc etc bought it got insured and drove home.
So it does happen.

Advice is though dont give your addy out, meet somewhere else
