There have been 15 ice ages in the last 2 million years, all caused by a combination of factors from orbital eccentricity (100,000 year cycle), axial precession (22,000 year cycle), orbital plane tilt (41,000 cycle) and solar activity. They have happened many times before, they will happen again, and we even know roughly when, and that man is foof all to do with them.
Are you presenting this as new information?
Can't believe those so called 'scientist' didn't realise this?

As someone said, they tell us they can though. All *they* need to do is tax the b*llux off of us and all will be well with the world again. Funny that, all problems can be solved by government by putting up taxes ....
As for the BBC, well they've been well and truly found out this time. Go see ... http://autonomousmind.wordpress.com/...inally-nailed/ ... which copies the results of a FOI request from the Met Office. If you remember, Roger Harrabin (Beeb) told us that the Met Office actually predicted the cold snap and told the cabinet office but not the rest of us.....
Well, the FOI reply nails that one. The Beeb caught out lying to help push the GW agenda, both of itself and the Met Office. Who's going to resign first do you think? Roger 'the science is settled' Harrabin, or the top dog at the Met Office (the 'buck stops here' after all)?Oh, and Martin, this'll be one side of the 'without prejudice' argument for you!

That was my point.
It's all very well banging on about how the Earths climate 'is always changing' we all know that, it's not news, it's not surprising, it's blatantly obvious in fact; so please people stop using it as evidence against GW, because it isn't. It really is starting to make some of the arguments look very flakey indeed.
Hopefully that's clear enough for you

In that case it's "just" car accidents, people late for work, etc But all this AGW cr*p means that in a couple of years the lights will go out as we shut down our so-called polluting generating capacity and have nothing to back it up. Old people, especially, will die of the cold. As they do every year, and many more of them than die of the "heat" in the summer! AGW "taxes" mean that our fuel bills are going up by huge amounts yet nothing is being done to stop the old folks from freezing to death. We're all in it together though, so that's all right .....
What's your view of the fact that the Met Office, and the BBC (the thread is about the Beeb after all) in trying to maintain their innocence, lied about their forecast to the cabinet office? Thus trying to push the lie that it was Governments fault that we were all caught out by the cold snap by not warning us or councils and not them. Oh, the Beeb involved in trying to blame the (non-labour) government. What a surprise. Oh no, another conspiracy theory. Can't have that can we .....

Check out the links to see how close the country came to not having enough power because the grid had relied on Met Office predictions which were cr*p. Check out the links which show how much power those green, efficient pinnacles of modern high-tech engineering (wind turbines) produced in the cold snap. Let me give you a clue. The wind hardly blew when it was coldest.....

The fact remains that all the climate change models used by the IPCC, and there have been a few, have neither been accurate or have yet proven to be correct with its predictions and yet we are to take it that the science is "settled". All the models have done is prove what has happened in the past. This is just more evidence that certain organisations have vested interests and hidden agendas to push this "science".

He brings shame on the Royal Society by his blind acceptance of "facts" from people like "Mr NASA" and his "the model looks exactly like the observed" without questioning whether "the model" was generated 5 years, 5 weeks or 5 days before "reality". Oh, and "Mr NASA" stated how global temperatures have been rising for the last 50 years - despite the fact that satellite data has only been available for 30 years!!
BBC biased propaganda is bad enough, but to pollute what was such a fine institution such as Horizon is disgusting
