Is the 5 speed box from the 2.5 tougher than 2.0 version ?

Type R's must have the same gearsets as the RA's then

I doubt there is any difference between the 2, I would say that the uprated (grp N) ones are not fitted standard.

As far as I can see the transmission chart is referring to wider ratios (compared to previous MY 'R') not wider gearsets on the JDM Type R ?

The model number for the Type R gearbox is different to the US WRX box with the note about widened gearset to RA ratios ?

I may be miss reading the info but it looks to me as though the US 2003 MY WRX onwards gained the 'thicker' RA width gearset as the gear ratios shown are identical on the 2002 MY box.

The link I showed earlied actually has some measurements and pictures of the gearsets ?

Whats the difference between the gears that come standard on the cars and the Group N ones?

When are you going to give the Spec C a good wash? Looking forward to the pictures you promised.

Car is in the garage at the moment getting a few bits sorted out, will find out tomorrow (today) what else needs doing, but cant wash her as its too cold for the snow foam

Oh yeah, i forgotten it must be snowing and still freezing over in the UK now.
