Yes, there are a couple of problems, but the result when you sort them out is stunning.
If you dont want one, don't buy one. Like I said, we heard you already..
I agree! All the hatch bashing on here is getting really tiresome. As for the Cosworth I like it much more than the RS500. I know everyone seems to love the RS but to me it looks like a roller skate and just a little bit tacky. I thought the look of the mk1 Focus RS was spot on. If I wanted the ultimate Impreza I think the Litchfield type 20 would be the way to go and much cheaper than the Cosworth too.

I think the sti hatch has grown on a lot of impreza owners , when it first came out it took a lot of us by surprise but its one of those cars that grow on you , Iv'e spoken to Quite a few impreza owners and many think the same , I also like the rs I think its impresive for a front wheel drive car with a great chassis and on say a rolling start say at 60 I think it would hold its own and maybe on a dry track it would have been better , if was going to get a rs I would get a normal one and have a mountune package but better still by a hatch sti take it to litchfield for the handling then down to alan for stroker and tuning , job done

Just by accident I watched an old TG on DAVE yesterday

It was the episode when it had the 1.27 (in the wet) the GT3 logged... and they all said 1.27 was a very very impressive time on their track in the wet and how good a car it must be as a result... funny how they have such short memories...

As for Sunday's episode

The Volvo was a non starter, why cover a car that doesn't even exist? Total waste of time... what they needed to include was a supercar, lets say an £80k one (the whole "poor man's supercar alternative") which Subaru and Cosworth/Ford mantle themselves on. That would have been a better test/comparison.

The GTR would have been good to watch in anger...

Overall a pretty poor episode in factual and fictional information

I take it that means the Focus has 400bhp? It must be real comedy trying to get the power down in the first and second.

It has traction control, which is a bit like a severe stammer, followed by premature ejaculation.
As I've always said, don't give me traction control, give me traction!

Map in reduced boost for 1st and 2nd? I believe the Mk1 had that as standard?

Mk2 has 60% of bhp in 1st (and probably 2nd also)

Trick diff or not... you ain't getting more than 200 on the ground effectively with FWD, unless you want to run slicks that is

I wonder if that is easy to bypass or would you need a new ECU?

Stupid way of designing a car though.
