still too thin?
I find it comes out thin when i start off, but then near the end of the bottle it comes out thick shaving foam styleee, even though i mix the foam with the water before I start.
why is that?

Here's mine.
Before
And after.
Took these about 10mins after the foam went on so you can't see the foam sticking on fully. Just about 500mls of Magifoam and the lance was on minimum flow rate for suds.
Some rinsed shots.

done another try this afternoon, with thicker mix I wonder if the stuff I've got isn't concentrated and with me adding water to it it thins it down.
This mix was neat... and used half a bottle, this was just right.

a bit of silt muck on the rear still, but reading threads on detailing sites, it says that its not a one process cleaning product and it should be done first before you hand wash, then jet wash.

Snow foam isn't ever going to be a none touch aproach to cleaning your car. There are harsher chemicals out there that will remove more. These are generally known as Traffic Film Removers. They are mainly used at Truck washes and cheap hand car washes when speed is of the essence. I wouldn't advise using them regularly on your car.
If you want snow foam to take off the road grime then you need to keep on top of the cleaning. This means weekly and keeping a good quality wax or sealant topped up.
SK - which product are you using through your lance? I have around 1" of snow foam in the bottom of the bottle and then top up with warm / hot water if I can be bothered (this will improve foam) or cold water does just fine.

I've got the Cherry Snow foam.
texted ReaChem this afternoon, and the responce was turn the lance to Fan Spray, use half an inch of snow foam and alterthe - & + till you get the mix right.
It was better but i use 1.5" of solution.
Still not really really thick though.
But you can see the dirt run down, Then I sponge over it all again and jet was off.
The car look clean :0

I think a lot of you are missing the point with snow foam.
Its intended purpose is to loosen, or remove as much dirt from the car without actually physically touching it as possible.
Thus reducing the damage to paint work when you start hand washing.
I personally use the snow foam first, let it dwell for about 10 mins, rinse off at high pressure and then use a two bucket wash method using a sheep skin mit.
I then use a leaf blower to dry the car.
The whole point of this process is to keep physical contact at a minimum.
Works wonders.

Never a sponge as it's the yellow pearl of paint death.
Wookie mit from dodo
Snow foamed then gently washed off to remove the remaining loose grit before carefully getting washed with the wookie.
High pressure hose on paintwork is basically the same as sand blasting your car with erm sand!
Think about it, the sand/dirt/grim is on top of the paintwork & if you force high pressure water on top of said sand/dirt/grim, even loosened it's gonna bounce of the paint first before it his the road again
Snow foam then gently rise of prior to careful handwashing

I Iranian's at the £3 car wash say they love washing my white car, as they can see where they're going easier
so a sponge and wash brush is out the question then?
BTW.. my Jet wash isn't very powerfull............ not compared to the Irainian's CLARK Jet wash they have.

However by pressure washing first you will remove the upper layers of this and allow the snow foam to soften and lift those layers closer to the paint.
Just my opinion.
