Excellent, finally getting somewhere. Magifoam seems to be the most popular solution but can anyone recommend a good lance for the recommended Karchers above?

look on Ebay, check out cherry foam + snow foam lance.
should cost you about £45

I'm assuming you want very low pressure for Snow Foaming can you adjust the pressure on cheap ones like the above or does the snow foam lance do this for you?

If you go for the lance then you can adjust the air/water on that...... not worth getting a cheap one IMO when a proper lance will only set you back around £40 now I think Autobrite still have a good deal on a lance and 5l of foam

Cheers! Presumably the Karcher Pressure Washer you recommended above uses the bayonet fixing rather than the HDS on listed? I also note autobrite do a standard foam lance and a heavy duty one that comes with the 5l of foam but a lot more expensive, is it the heavy duty one you are suggesting?

this is th lance you need, tell them the P/washer you have and they send you the correct fitting.

The only thing I can put it down to is you've not got as much pressure to foam it up from your washer, as you run the same lance and foam as me. were as I'm using a kew/alto heavy duty washer

I was thinking the same, I'm going to try it on my Dads CLARKE pressure washer, to see how it Foams with that.

Disappointed. Followed all the above advice and got a real thick layer of foam sat nicely on the car but when I came to rinse off looked exactly the same as when I started. Did a pre-jet wash before I snow foamed but still the tide marks were there when I hosed off the snow foam. Am I doing something wrong? I expected the snow foam to lift and wash away the tide marks at least but nothing

Dont pre wash the car, just apply the snowfoam straight on from dry it will cling to the car better and soften any deposits

Cheers, I'll give that a try next time. By the way where did you get the dashboard dials from below your head unit they look 'awesome' as my youngest would say? Are they difficult to wire up?

They are Prosport premium stepper gauges, they came from scoobyparts when they sold them, I sourced a single din gauge holder from a vw and modified it to fit under the stereo, about 1hr 1/2 to get them fitted in, and easy enough to wire up, just need a 12v permanent feed and a 12v ignition feed and thread the wring through the bulkhead to the engine bay where the sensors are that need fitted, They come with gauges too easy enough really just a bit fiddly

snow foam isn't a 'one stop shop touchless' car cleaning product. As Rob says its only to soften up whats on the car to make it easier to wash once rinsed off

those that say its not cleaning probably have poor LSP, if your car has some protection sealant/wax then you will be using SF as a none touch clean,
If your not getting a good foam it ISNT pressure its water flow, check how much it flows on low pressure, if you have a good flow rate then clean your gauze out on the SF lance.

I appreciate that and read enough about the product to know that but having done evrything it was exactly the same before i snow foamed it hence the question above. Thanks.

Norm I haventhe hozelock wash machine the big one, and I have detergent bottles built into my jet washer, so a bit like a snow lanch I tried it this weekend and I,ll be honest what a load of ****, it does soften it I think !!!!, but for the hassle and stuff I certainly won't be investing in another 5l tub of stuff,

This isn't to say that snowfoam doesnt work I personally think the only advantage of the lance is that the foams on the car u can whip round it like the illegal immigrants do at my local car wash

Other than that dunno, bucket n sponge is the way lol

I was using the Maguirs stuff, and then the cherry foam, with my bottle / lance, but was getting really weak foam.
BUT that was on my hose pipe.

Bought a bottle / lance for the small Karcher and it works far better, thick creamy foam that hangs for several minutes.
I do turn the adjuster **** "off" for best foam.

Its a right pain in the backside setting up the jetwash as i live on the top floor but i manage to use a tap on the bottom floor, the hose isnt the worse part its the power for the jetwash thats a pain. The foam was hanging on over 15 minutes, in fact i got fed up waiting for it so i washed it off but tried to be lazy and then just dry it off however i got side tracked and came back and it had streaks all over it but a bit of polish and elbow grease soon cured it.
