did what someone said above, I moved the hose pipe to a tap at our house that virtually feeds straight off the mains pressure, I found the jet wash worked so much better and it made the snow foam thicken up as the water pressure seemed higher than the tap I normally use on the far side of the house.

the mix I used wasn't Cherry Snow Foam, it was TurtleWax's Pressure Washer solution.







(ps: was trying different setting on my camera to see if I could make the car look white and not a grey/white... it's all to do with the exposure settings, so I'm told)

Still looks the same and way too thin to me, maybe your pressure washer is at fault.

trust me, applying it its so much thicker, could be the 'brand' makes it not look thin.. or so much wax over the car it slides off

Are the Glimour Foamaster II guns any good...they just attached to a standard hosepipe as i cant find a foam lancer that fits my Black And Decker PW.....

I was going to ask the same question as I'm interested in buying a Gilmour foamster 2 gun; just got myself kitted up with meguiars wash mitt, polished bliss drying towel, meguiars gold class shampoo, meguiars microfibre polishing towels, poorboys black hole, poorboys wheel sealent, just need snowfoam goodies and a good wax for the car, can someone recommend me one for black paintwork?

Look on the Polished Bliss web site and read the write up on Jeff's Werkstat Prime and Jett Trigger. I used the acrylic type not the carnauba type.

Wet look shine, protected from fallout and deposits, super shine ... my car is a hatch in dark grey metallic ( near black ) andlooks super with this stuff!!

Well i got the Foamaster II gun and its a load of cack!!!.....or maybe its the Meguiar's Hyper Wash i used with it?? Say i can use a dilution rate of just 400:1 for it but i must of used 400:5 and still the mixture coming out of the Foamaster II gun was too water, the foam just slid off the car and didnt stick what so ever!! What a waste of 50 odd quid

SNOW FOAM WAX.... oh it's thick, so much better using it with the Nilfisk than the cheap Halfords jet was. I think the water flow rate being better helps.

Are you using the lance and bottle that came with the nilfisk or an aftermarket foam lance? Reason I ask is that I've had the nilfisk for a while now and still can't get a thick foam with the lance supplied. Using a 50/50 cherry foam/water mix in the bottle and it's still way to thin

It's 400:1 in total, not in the bottle you make up - you need to know or experiment with the total water flow the power washer gives.

I put about 1/2 inch Meguires foam wash stuff ( or the cheaper cherry foam ) in the 1/2 litre bottle and fill with warm water, then plug into a basic Karscher and it foams well ... it changes thickness if I move the dial though so a bit of trial and error needed.

you cant use the "detergent" feeder bottles that come with power washers , it draws the snowfoam out at LOW pressure , it needs HIGH pressure to make it foam up (thats why the good ones are brass , to take the pressure)

this was 1st time using it ages ago , 1" in bottom of bottle , on a weak setting. Now i've got used to it , i have it on the thickest setting . Really only necessary if your car is really dirty , but if it is well waxed/polished not as thick needed.

Hi all, ive heard alot about this snow foam and am keen to give it a go, ive got a hot water pressure washer, i can adjust the litres per min, and the amount of detergent coming through. The detergent feed is just a 5mm pvc pipe that sits into a bottle of detergent. My question is do i need a specific lance? and which snow foam is best?

I'd say yes.

cus you need to water flow pressure to get the foam to froth up through the lance, as its under pressure.

its not like the detergent bottle on the back of the jetwash that mixes with the water as you hose/jet it down.
