Yeah I still have my scoob, however having a few problems with it at the moment. It is currently with Drew in Durham. I will hopefully have it back next week.

Yes does, but in higher speed, not at lower speed/cruising.For full potential you will need flat floor etc.

I also love the look of the low wide stance cars posted and think it would be a dull place if all our cars were blue with cold wheels.
What happened to that? It looked fantastic

I can't be bothered posting any in here as it's all stupid wide wheels and **** dragging suspension.... which means they will drive and handle like ****. Imprezas are driver's cars first and foremost, all this stupid tricking them up to look like a teenage boy's wet dream would be better left to the VW crowd IMO!
Now that's what I was hoping read, the crossing of a line where the appearance of the car compromises the way it drives. I don't need to learn to use the search function but thanks for the advice. My reply to your contribution here was out of genuine interest as you seem to have some conviction in respect of your opinions. I am genuinely quite new to Impreza ownership and I will be altering the car as and when I have the funds so a range of views is useful in helping me learn what's to be avoided as It's often all too easy to become part of a herd.

Thanks

Hey Tim, apologies for the flippancy as thought you were about to have a dig!

Yes I am all for making a Scoob look tidy and different even, but as long as it still drives properly and you just know that the car in the first post on this thread won't.

I will try and look through my old posts and pull out some of the cars I think work well looks wise.

No mate no digs from me, life's too damn short. I just like to look at everyone's ideas and not take the whole thing too seriously just in case my engine pops. I'm going along the lines of an understated style with my own car apart from a few touches of red detailing here and there which sort of compliment the WR blue without being too obvious. I'm also in the low spoiler camp out of personal preference. My car is at the normal ride height and living in a very rural area I'd mash the carbon front lip very quickly if I did drop the ride height. I have fitted solid drops and done a fair number of the bushes but going forwards, the vast majority of my work on the car will be tucked out of sight. I appreciate your reply, all the best.

Love the old classic shape - especially with FMIC, lowered etc. But the Hatch is so much more refined

A few of my faves from the gallery over the years. Anyone got a good pic of Schuamcher's black Type R (not that Schumacher - the SN user called Schuamcher) as that was an amazing car?

Yes my friend,it belongs to a very nice guy down south,2.35 fully forged engine with GT35 Billet turbo,6 speed box etc etc etc.
The car was built to look as standard as possible as is very understated, all black Samco hoses help that look, black is the new red.

Well worth the posting mate, similar to what I'm aiming for in terms of subtle yet business like appearance.

cheers

Tim
