Three lads in an MG ZR tried that with me the other day, one 5000rpm launch later..

Sometimes it just has to be done.

A few years back I had two ***** in the same wait for me at the petrol station and follow me out. I was in my mildly tuned Saab 900 turbo t the time. One long stretch of open A road and I passed 4 cars at once and was off into the sunset

I have had a few both young and middle aged drivers take a closer look at my boot , now though I don't seem to get as much attention as before from around our way , The scoob Is in and out of Derbyshire polices HQ everyday and it seems from what Ive heard that some young lads have noticed this and started a rumour its an unmarked car .

I read this thread when it was first posted and was going to say it doesnt happen to me much but in the past few days it seems everyones at it

I drove past a WRX the other day and he quickly changed direction and decided to sit right on my bumper, i didnt take the bate and he flew past on the next straight not even going to waste my petrol showing a WRX who the boss is

Then last night another scooby, this time it was an STI bug eye, women driver though, didnt sttop her sitting right on my bumper Got to a 60 mph duel carageway, booted it to 60 and left her for dead, so looks like I took the bate that time

Then later on, a clio sport decided he would like to sit on my bumper, those things are suprisingly fast for a small young persons hot hatch

I hate it when I look in my mirror and cant even see their headlights ! far to close for my liking

I don`t bite at all on the road anymore, track days for driving quickly and pod for my fix of "traffic light grand prixs." But I have to admit I do still do this ^, travel frequently on a quiet national speed limit dual carriageway with lots of roundabouts, don`t brake the speed limit, but love watching people squirm when they`re following too closely and I brake very late for the roundabouts. If theres no traffic coming on the ones with clear visiablity I may have taken them without slowing down too, this resulted in a micra getting all sorts of sideways, very funny, although I should really not do this!

You do have to watch some chavs though. Things like this pop up now and again
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2508293.htm

I know a guy by me who was a chav type but had a bit of cash and built a 300bhp Saxo VTS which could shame some quick cars.

99.9% of them though have a maximum of 1.2 litres and a ton of ICE in the boot

i'd love to have a fake blue flashing light in the car. they sit right on your ars3, you pop on the light, they get that horrible sinking feeling as well as the need for new underwear...

I could be imagining it, but I'm sure I've had less problems with tailgaters ever since I moved from a blue classic to the WHITE hawk....can't think why!

You just know they're thinking: "Very unlikely that's the police, but I'm kinda conditioned to associate white with flashing blue lights, so I'm not going to risk it!"

Or if it's a chav

"Rozzer init?!? Hide da weed"

I'm never lucky enough to get challenged to many duels. A. Because my car spends most of it's time tucked up in the garage, b. Everything that tries to race is usually pants, n not worth wasting petrol on, c. I let them overtake and then flick on my well hidden almost invisble when not on blue lights and siren curtesey of eBay which is worth every penny of £15 when i indicate and flash them, they pull in expecting points and fines and a good telling off and I drive past to enjoy the look of Shame on thier face when they realise I'm not the 5 0! That's better than a race!

i love driving my scooby, but i hate it like many of others in this post, when some to@@er thinks that i will race them.
it seems they think sticking a k&n induction kit and a back box on their saxo/corsa, even muppets in their family saloons, will be a match, i know some of them out there are as fast or faster, all i actually think is how quick are there reactions for hitting the breaks cus they are traveling that close behind, im not going to waste my petrol on them.
