TB, you still haven't come out with any stats on 06/07 HG failures.

Do you really think subaru are going to publish those? most would have been warranty claims, did you wonder why subaru dropped out of the top 10 most reliable cars last year?
Its like subaru publishing the fact that the 2.5 is naff, hence why they are replacing it after only 5 years compared to over twice that long for the similar 2ltr scdb? (the "new" 2.5 should be out now in japan, the "new" 2ltr is due out shortly )

Be interesting to see what the new engines are like. Does anyone know if these are going to be used in the hatch and saloon or will they be introduced with the new shape impreza?

I’ve never had a Subaru before, are there any issues with that model of car? Am I doing the right thing? Should I get the later 2.5 engine?

Your comments would be greatly appreciated

I've had 3 Imprezas, 2 being WRX with PPP. Unless you plan tracking it, it will be plenty quick enough. Both my WRX have been 2 litres with no engine issues. Enjoy it.

Hey John
Good luck with the purchase if it goes ahead.

I wouldnt mind if you could keep this thread alive if you do buy the car by letting me know how you are enjoying your ownership.

I just went for my first test drive in a WRX on Wednesday and Im now hooked. I'm going to hold out for a good deal on an STi as apart from the extra power, the interior looks a lot more appealing to me.

Love to know how you get on and good luck

Dave
