Its like subaru publishing the fact that the 2.5 is naff, hence why they are replacing it after only 5 years compared to over twice that long for the similar 2ltr scdb? (the "new" 2.5 should be out now in japan, the "new" 2ltr is due out shortly )

Be interesting to see what the new engines are like. Does anyone know if these are going to be used in the hatch and saloon or will they be introduced with the new shape impreza?

Morning all!
This is my first post and my first foray into the world of Subaru’s. I have an itch and it needs scratching, I’ve been hankering after an Impreza for a while now and yesterday popped over to a local dealer to have a look at a one owner 06 WRX 2 litre (Blue with gold alloys), its got 27K miles on it and looks and drives lovely!
I’ve never had a Subaru before, are there any issues with that model of car? Am I doing the right thing? Should I get the later 2.5 engine?
Your comments would be greatly appreciated
John

Hey John
Good luck with the purchase if it goes ahead.
I wouldnt mind if you could keep this thread alive if you do buy the car by letting me know how you are enjoying your ownership.
I just went for my first test drive in a WRX on Wednesday and Im now hooked. I'm going to hold out for a good deal on an STi as apart from the extra power, the interior looks a lot more appealing to me.
Love to know how you get on and good luck
Dave
