The point is living as Travelers encourages them to behave irresponsibility.

If you live in a house (especially if you own it) and live and work in an area permanently you have to take some responsibility and behave in a social way, or else you risk alienating and pissing off the people you have to live around year after year and becoming an outcast.

You don't **** where you eat as they say.

What about the 'elder' traveller that enjoyed regaling the argument he had once with a local about how long they'd lived there... "he said 20 years, well we've been here 125 years.."
So in what way can you class yourself as a traveller?!?

I only saw a little bit of the programme as it doesn't make good viewing in my opinion, but the bit I did see was the girls at the show all tarted up, then boys pulling their hair etc. like they were entitled to.

I've never been so glad to have been born into my family! Can you imagine the lives of these people? The girls have nothing to look forward to except a big wedding and a life of kids and drudgery.

Their wives etc. being filmed wouldn't make any difference to them, they don't go out in public with them, they're at home doing chores/having kids etc. This is not a normal way of life.

to be fair the concept of keeping yr wife at home, barring access to education, turning yr wife into a child producing machine and overall systematic abuse appears to be signiificantly favoured by some faiths.

It doesn't matter whether it's favoured, the law states that children should be in full-time education until the last Friday in June of their final year. This is going up soon and will be raised to 18. How do they get round this then? They disappear and when they do get caught up with, they're not prosecuted.... Makes me feel sick.

Indeed, the Muslims keep their women locked up and wearing masks ..... they suffer abuse in silence too.

What differentiates Country women from those of Muslims and Pikies is their education ... keep women uneducated and they do not get ideas above their station.
