'Globalisation'... the worldwide economic system and generally the way everything is done on an international scale is a western framework. It would be daft to take that for granted and, **** taking aside, the U.S. has done a hell of a lot of good for the world. It totally outweighs the bad.

China has not really embraced globalisation and free trade though have they. They manipulate their currency keeping it artificially low, protect their key industries by slapping huge import taxes on products and hinder of Countries by slapping strict export quotas on key raw materials such as rare earth minerals.

I personally have been boycotting all things Chinese except food - purely as it all breaks/stops working within a month. Gutted when my new 'British' KEF speakers had a little 'made in a communist confused totalitarian/capitalist human rights abusing state'. It aint the way forward comrades - well not until they get a mini Aneurin Bevan over there and embrace healthy communism...
