Flipping hell, some of you will moan about anything!
100m Final will be just a small part of a whole evenings entertainment/history making!
Traffic bad, of course it will be, this is a once in a life time event! If you don't like it, ot can't afford it, dont go....I don't think they will struggle to sell tickets.
I hope to get to the Velodrome, or at least watch the road race for free.
For me, not to see some of it would be a crime.

I can watch it all for free in the comfort of my own home and not have to wait in hours of traffic & see more of it all. Although when some of it goes to Coventry I may pop along to see it as it is allot nearer.

Pompous and ridiculous attitude!, the Olympics is about getting people interested and enthused by sport by being a part of it, being there and seeing it in the flesh the opportunity to see the best in the world. TV (even 3D) is a poor substitute and especially when the Olympics is held in your country and already funded by you/me everybody.

Do you really feel that as a tax payer you should get some sort of subsidised tickets?

Never wanted us to host the bl00dy Olympics in the first place.
Certainly won't be paying through the teeth to watch it in person. Plus if you live in the North (like me) and if you wanted to go and watch that sh!te, then you'd have your travel expences, Congestion charge if you dared to drive, and I dare bet every hotel will bump up their prices by 200%.
Rip off Britain strikes again.

I'm looking forward to them but a) watching them on TV, couldn't give a monkey's about being able to say 'I woz there' ... (they usually try to break athletics records at Grand Prix meets anyway, more money in it for them) and b) the UK could have done without having to pay inflated prices just to satisfy a bunch of crooked politicians and Olympic officials who are all out to enrich themselves and ingratiate themselves with, well, each other actually .....

These games will be a financial disaster for the UK and particularly London and far from bringing a feel good factor to the country (other than the politicians and their cronies) will just drag us further into the mire!

In the middle of an economic bubble the olympics seems like a good idea, on the verge of the second half of a double dip recession people are going to get pissed off by the vast expense of the olympics. In a sensible world they would be run in a way that expenses and costs would be covered by ticket sales and TV revenue but when was the last time this happened ? It would appear that the olympics world cup, euro cup etc, are now all run at tax payer expense and given how much money the likes of FIFA make I am not sure why the tax payer has to foot the bill at all ?
