Diesel uses more crude oil than petrol, hence it burns slower....i read an interesting article in the mail, suggesting diesel would be over £2 a litre by christmas, thus rendering gains in mpg not financially viable.....good ah PSL>??

You know what?
I wouldn't mind £10 a gallon ..... it would clear the riff-raff off the road and restore them to be the domain of the elite and rich

Only some kiddies have wealth ..... but most old farts like me (I am much older than 40!!) have wealth in depth and no time left to spend it - we can spend at a rate which would make the IMF weep!!

I have to say that I do not have a problem paying the price for the fuel. I already pay an obscene amount of tax from my wages and do not want to pay any more. If you take it from one thing you have to put it on to something else which from a personal level will probably end up costing me a lot more.
This is just my personal opinion and situation, many others will have a different one. I mean I use my car every day to drive to work and at the weekends, costs me about £60 a week in fuel, fine by me. A lot less than more income tax.

The biggest problem with fuel prices is the overall damage it is doing to a now very fragile economic recovery. Unless the government stop sticking their heads in the sand and actually do something to appease the dwindling confidence in the econmy we are going to double dip into recession. Public sector job cuts, the VAT rise, out of control inflation, unemployment climbing, local authorities cutting services right, left and centre and now fuel spiralling ever upwards price wise making everything more expensive from raw materials to your trip to Aunt Mary's
I really cannot see what the big logistical problem is that they claim to have with a fuel duty stabiliser or even a VAT cap, it's not f**king rocket science is it so they are just basically lying to us as ever as they have no real intention of helping the 'working man' or the small businesses of the UK. Well soon there will be nothing left to help, but as long as the fat greedy politicians are happy then who cares?

David here is a letter for you to print, sign and send to the chancellor.
Dear Chancellor (can't remember his name)
Please reduce fuel duty by 50% with immediate effect.

It's NOT a Barrett home ..... it's a Wade home!!!
It's like living on the edge of a bad area, saying that you actually live in a good area
A Barrett Home is the Aldi of homes ... there for the poor and a valuable addition to the housing stock for the lower classes.
