The crises in the Middle East are of course a golden opportunity for the profiteers to increase the price of oil up to the heights they could only have imagined in their dreams!

This is coupled of course with the large extra take that the Government will achieve from the VAT payable on the increased price of fuel at the pumps.

We cannot expect to avoid an extra cost due to the price increase of a barrel of oil, but if the government takes the opportunity to rake in all that extra vat without decreasing the fuel tax, then it deserves full and heavy castigation to be remembered at the next election.

Historically they all love the "soak the motorist" bit.

It will be interesting if this lot will be able to resist it, having already agreed that the motorist has been an easy target.

he's not my MP i was just up there visiting and noticed the price.I was in the company car complete with fuel card so i was ok but i do agree something has to be done, yet nothing will. There is only one direction the fuel prices will go,and i think in 5 years time diesel will be almost twice the price of regular unleaded as the government will target the motorists that are getting more miles to the gallon.Time to move to Oz

To be fair Osbourne did say after the budget he would be watching the fuel companies and the price like a hawk. Obviously his hawk was a f**king blind retarded one as the price is still climibing yet the smug **** isn't interested. All talk and f**k all action like all politicians!

The prices are spiralling out of control. I just paid £1.41.9 a litre for ordinary unleaded, at a supermarket.
That's 3p more per litre than I paid 2 weeks ago for the premium stuff
Look at this little graph and have a

Meanwhile oil has dropped in the last four weeks on average from around 113 USD a barrel to around 100 USD. So why is the price still going up? What happened to Osbourne's pledge? And more to the point why is NO ONE in a position to do so, i.e. the opposition or the media, saying anything about it to the lying ****!!!

As I paid, I actually had a whinge about it. She said they were the cheapest by 2p of the supermarkets in the area.
Something needs to be done, we are being priced off the road
I've emailed Number 10 twice, about house heating oil prices and motor fuel. Surprise, surprise, not even a reply

The stupid thing is that by ignoring things like this they are helping stifle the economic recovery (what there is of one) and ultimately they will not make any of their targets for inflation or deficit/debt reduction as they can cut as much as they like, but as April's figures show if the other side of the balance sheet is also contracting it actually makes things worse.

Clueless greedy career politicians with no grasp on the real world sadly!

I've just paid £1.37 for unleaded from TOTAL.

It seems everywhere around me has dropped the price over the last week or so.

You are joking

I've just found a receipt from the same garage, 29/04/2011 £1.36.9
Two weeks ago, it was dearer, and now again. I thought the North East was supposed to be cheaper !

BTW, where does the .9 come from

Ok, so it's not gone down?

Here's the latest email from Petrol Prices.com -
http://www.petrolprices.com/members/?search=ng12+5fe

Read it and weep, sucker.

(if it doesn't work for you just put in the postcode NG12 5FE, which is my old one - I still live in the NG12 postal code area)

I would if you knew how to post a link on the Internet!

The clue is in the the URL ... it says m e m b e r s ... just a small hint that it might not be a public link

Petrol here is 134.9, 4 weeks ago it was 134.9. 134.9 minus 134.9 = zero which is not a decrease!!!

See my edit that I added 1 minute before your post, you *****.

I'm not surprised you haven't seen a decrease - you're a Northern monkey and petrol companies hate you.

HTH.

It says "Morrisons Gamston - Unleaded £1.32.9"

And WTF has my 'political persuasion' got to do with anything?
I don't have one, as I don't a religious one before you start on that old chesnut.

And?

Look let me make this simple for you as it seems I have to to actually get through to you.

4 weeks ago oil was 113USD a barrel and petrol was 134.9 (here). It then rose to 135.9 and has gone back to 134.9, but in that time the oil price has dropped to 100 USD a barrel and with no significant change in the exchange rates petrol should have come down.

Your hero Osbourne promised he was going to watch the petrol companies like a hawk (his words, not mine) and yet here we being royally shafted!!!

Ok, I'll make this simple for you too.

I COULDN'T CARE LESS HOW MUCH PETROL COSTS!

If YOU can't afford it then don't drive.
IF you CAN afford it then just shut the **** up moaning. You can't change it.

And oil traded yesterday at $115 per barrel.

LOL at just how pathetic that response is. I'm alright Jack... still given that Thatcher is no doubt one of your heroines I am not surprised.

No it didn't. Brent Crude may have done, but the average oil price was a smidge over 100USD. I expect you know that though... more politicking on your part!!!
