"But you sir" always makes me smile. Its usually the line that the dimwit uses as he has no real input to the thread , but wants to show that he's on the side of the scoobynet clique massive. I bet you've got a picture on photobucket of a scooby in a lake as well

I think my care free and not give a f*ck what I say style of posting has tonight been changed forever.
Just warming up some humble pie now if anyone would care to share.

Tony, in a desert camp, south of Benghazi, Libya
There are roughly 400 people here of which there are about 50 Brits.
There have been armed looters at the gates, but so far the armed civilians that are here have managed to protect us.

We can't move from here as it's too dangerous, and getting to Benghazi would be suicide”

If they leave, we just don't know what will happen.
The looters have already taken all vehicles and heavy equipment, including cranes, bulldozers and anything that has wheels.
We fear they will target our accommodation blocks next. We need urgent help. The food and water will start to run out very soon.
Doesn't the British government know we are here? Our wives have informed the Foreign Office and they say action will be taken, but when?
We have an airstrip that can land a C130.
We can't move from here as it's too dangerous, and getting to Benghazi would be suicide. We desperately need help.

Agreed, whether it's Tony from here or not, there are some brits out there in a very nasty situation - hopefully the government is going to take the required action to get them out of their before they come to any harm, as it isn't sounding like they've got many other alternatives.

It smacks a bit of the government not having the people or resources to respond to a situation like this reasonably quickly. I mean it will always take a bit of time to plan and execute extracting people in Tony´s dangerous situation. It just all has a bit of the feeling that the cupboard is bare.

From the BBC:
1928: UK Foreign Secretary William Hague urges all remaining Britons to make their way to Tripoli airport "at first light", adding: "Given that there are now only a small number left, the last government-sponsored chartered plane will leave Tripoli tomorrow."
So, Tony needs to get to Tripoli or sit it out and wait for the knights in shining armour or risk a dash for the border. What a sh*tty set of options.
