Most shufflers go to M&S because they can't remember where else there is to go.

Les,
I spend about 50% of my working time for the last 25 years working for OAP's and they're all repeat customers.
If I was that I'll mannered I wouldnt have thought they'd have me back.
I'm not sure what it is but you seem to have issues with most things I post, so I'll not bother now replying to threads where you've made a contribution.
As you were.

I find it disappointing when people feel they have to criticise the elderly because they are a bit slower in the way they act. As I said, it seems ill mannered to me.

What I can't see is where I criticised anyone.
Further more, there's a thread running about gay cricketers with all manner of 'gayisms' - you don't appear to have a problem with that but when I mention a playful word like 'shufflers' you take offence to an un-offensive word.
It really is a laughable situation Les, I don't know how you coped all those years in the Forces.
You really need to be a bit less precious and serious- it isn't good for your health.
All the best.

My parents only ever shopped at M&S for food when I was a kid. Think most of it was branded "St Michael" then. My family still shop there now for food as we find the quality is always good.

LIDL's is M&S Quality food at less than Tesco prices .... some of us Old Gits know that!!
But, sad to say, there are some 'up their own ****'s' types who wouldn't step in a Lidl or aldi if the world had ended!! Why should Pikies have all the best food at the best prices?

Now, the branding "St. Michael" makes me think of dear Michael! I met Michael Marks, the co-founder of St. Michael/M&S a few times when I lived in London. He was an eccentric and down to earth geeza. He wore simple clothing and took great interest in theatre, art and stuff.

As I read this, I can just see his venerable liver-spotted lower lip trembling with emotion and indignation.
