Not everybody lives by the sea, got any other gems which do not involve actual cruelty or death that you wish to share dumm-kopf,?

Unfortunately the owners are not legally responsible for the cats actions so filming, reporting, claiming etc wont get you anywhere. I think that the water pistol idea is the best, however the law also states that you should not injure or cause harm to a cat. I think this should be ok but care is needed. Use a citric deterrent for times you aren't glued to the window and the combined methods will hopefully see the cat stay away.

I've got an animal scarer that comes in a 12 gauge variety but I still stick with my earlier post.....get the owner to sort it. Why should we have to try to train these feral cats ( if it's in my garden and it's not my cat then it's feral ) it's up to the owner to take responsibility and keep the things on their own property.

You've said enough.

Put it this way how would YOU like it if you were minding your own business, totally desperate for a ****, take a dump in the countryside and then some B4STARD shoots you in the face, or leg or worst leaves you critically injured to suffer a long and painful death?

People who think it's ok to kill/maim defenseless animals, like the ***** on the news who shot those swans are complete scum and sbe shot themselves imo.

The only problem with spraying the cats with water or scaring them off when there on the bonnet is they s**t themselves and the claws come out when trying to get away. Got back to the mothers the other day, made a cupper, looked out of the window and low and behold there's the local moggy sat on my bonnet, so i went outside and slowly ushered it off, anyway 5 mins later it's back on it, was just going outside, when the mother decide to lean out of the bedroom window and scare the f**ker half to death. In turn she got a bigger bollocking than cat and a lecture about it having a aluminium bonnet and shiny paint work!!!!

Ah see that's the thing, with one of these you can do the deed from a distance and make relatively little noise. Winner.

ok ok i get it some people really really love cats... i think they are ok but I don't really like it when they damage my car, but I wouldn't want to hurt a cat, so i'm looking for a nice way to get it off my car. Come on though it's pretty clear to me that beliott is joking, he don't really want to send em all to kitty ****ty heaven, come on that was funny. I suppose thats the problem with the ecowarriors, way way to serious for their own good. Nobody is gonna hurt any animals ok we are just venting off!

Actually i've been asking most people what they would do if it happened to their pride and joy. As I don't have a life...and most people fall into one of two camps:

a) Are you mental the cat is doing no harm at all it has soft paws.

and

b) If I saw a cat doing that on my car it would never do it again.

Not too much in between. Very strange

Borrow a dog , get it too **** on your drive next to your car . Maybe that will make the cat choose a new spot . I had a cover on my lotus whilst it was out the garage for a while and it never marked it or trapped moisture in . You get what you pay for so don't buy a cheap one .

i have exactly same problem, women 2 doors down keeps feeding the strays at one point there was 20,few of them pi..es/spray and scratch car, then s..t all over the garden to the point you cannot let kids play on the grass.

they only seem to sit in front of scoop when cars hot ,but if i just pull the bonnet seems to un nerve them and wont go on it.

fair to say me and the neighbour dont speak as she dont care.

What's the problem???? Wa*kers that want to harm defenceless animals, that is what the problem is. A cat does not know that sitting on your prize Scoob is a crime worse than the Holocaust, it's just a cat and talking of keeping it real I don't believe for one moment a cat does any damage to paintwork by sitting on a car whether its claws are out or not. They are animal claws not diamond tiipped cutting tools FFS!!!

er f1 fan, you may well be one of those bell end... like i said quite a few peeps say the same as you, ie surely a cat can't damage your car. But if you take the time to read the thread you will see that they do sometimes. If I knew what to do i'd do it, but I dont so i started a thread...IN SCOOBYNET WE TRUST! and because of it there are a few things I can try which DO NOT include harming a poor defenseless creature. PLEASE!
