The solution to keeping your paint not only scratch free but also protected from UV, is a clear vinyl type wrap, which i can to actually working

While i lived/worked out in the UAE I got myself a new Mustang S197 in Grabber Orange and when i went to get the windows tinted & the tint guys recommended this stuff to keep the paintwork like new.

And out there they really suffer with feral cats & muppets resting against your car with their studded jean pockets when it's parked up

It even gives protection from stones and once its scuffed up you just get the affected area re-wrapped.

Simples

this is the like the stuff they used http://www.invisiblefilm.co.uk/
I've just had expensive bill getting the scoobs and rear bumper, wing & door resprayed thanks to some visiually challenged driver scrapping the paint up while it was parked.

This stuff would have halted that respray bill I've just had, so gonna get it done as soon as

Happy ending so far...
Got car back looks mint god I love fresh paint...and bought a cat basket and put it on my covered terrace and so far so good the cat now known as pasha prefers the soft basket to relax in instead of my on top of the bonnet scoob. Long may it last. Who'd have thought scoobynet could be so influential, i've gone full circle and have now adopted the stray and given it a name!

Well it didn´t last...

Paw prints all over the bonnet not scratches... so I went to the garden store and Pedro Sanchez gave me something that looked like rat poison, I dont speak Spanish but I tried to explain to him that I didn´t want to kill anything and I think he said something on the lines of no cats no rats simple! Didn´t really follow his logic so opted for a spray called SCOOT which apparently they dont like the smell of and is totally harmless...lets see if that works!

Well I've worked out why the magpies are attacking the car when it's nice and shiny seems to attract bugs & insects and it's these the buggers are going for. Been out this afternoon with Megs scratch X getting rid of all the scratches best I can from the roof.

As i was out there the magpies came along and sat watching me on the roof opposite when i saw some big crow swoop down and go for them, unfortunately he didn't catch them but now need to find away to attract more crows as they seem to be the enemies/predator of the magpies and well saves me going out and buying an airgun

Seriously though I'm about to order a decent tailored car cover, think it's gonna be only way & even though few hundred quid still cheaper than getting roof, boot & bonnet resprayed all the time
