The laugh is he actually thinks he has some of us fooled with all these 'clever words' when a good proportion of SN know exactly what he is. He holds court in this thread like he is some authority on the Middle East while in real life he is probably a glorified shop assistant (not that there is anything wrog with that UNTIL you big yourself up into something else). It's quite sad really and rather pathetic! I only hope he knows what he is doing and doesn't really believe his own hype, but sadly I fear not.

I want to know why the Muslim countries are not helping out much and the Arab league are wobbling, also why British Muslims seem to be negative towards this intervention in general.

Gadaffi was killing Muslims and I thought Islam preached Muslim brotherhood/solidarity? When Israel kills Palestinian terrorists, or accidentally kills Palestinian civilians, these same people start preaching Muslim solidarity, identify themselves as victims of Israel, and vilify Israel.

So why not the same with Gadaffi?

Sure, it would be unreasonable to discuss the Islamic perspective, right?

To discuss it no, to read another of your cut and paste generated diatribes with its usual nasty snidy undercurrents would be pathetic, tedious and another waste of anyone's time so, yes, wrong!

You've mentioned this cut and paste thing at least a half dozen times now, so I'll lay down a challenge. Post up a solitary sentence on this thread that I've cut and pasted and I'll concede.

Well you may not have done it on this thread, but then you wouldn't have would you?... because I mentioned it a few weeks ago.

We both know you have done it on other threads, but maybe you have tried to be a bit cleverer of late.

As an example let's look at this post on this thread:

https://www.scoobynet.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=63

Here it is quoted (see how easy that is JT )

Equally problematic is the gradual spread of radical Islamist ideas in Pakistan, in parts of Punjab, as well as the NWFP. This is accentuated by the fact that it is easier for the Taliban to destroy, than for the government to create.

Al-Qaeda have networks that extend from Pakistan's largest cities to remote sanctuaries along the Afghan border.

The state wants to keep NATO happy and also its population. The challenge there is that the general population, predominantly Islamist, hate NATO. The State, however, want to keep NATO happy as we pump billions into the country. Why? Because their nukes are in Western Punjab and within touching distance of the World's largest terrorist network.

So, is Pakistan an extremist state? Well, it employs Shar'ia which I think, according to Western ideals, is extreme, but the West does not classify Pakistan as such as do so would alienate it, and of course they've got nukes. Is it an extremist country? Absolutely!
No mention of any source, all your own work right?

Now let's scan this page:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8116691.stm

And what do we find. All the sentences used to construct your 'opinion'

Busted!!! Granted you have made some effort to make it look good though

Why do all these discussions end up being about which scoobynet member is better than the next?
After reading through most of this thread all I know is that F1 fan and Tony still don't get on!
And now JTaylor is the one to have abuse thrown at him.

Anticipated response - ' Well chrispurvis100, you are not contributing to the topic are you!'

It's hard to ignore the religion thing although it should be irrelevant, but we have heard plenty of Politicians and other people mention about this being the 3rd 'Muslim country' that the west has bombed in recent years etc.

LOL, don't think Tony and I have had one genuinely cross word on this thread so I suggest you read again. And I actually offered the man advice about his boot carpet in General ... so there

As for Taylor I have my reasons...

Anyway what exactly are you contributing to this thread?

Yes I suppose I see what you are saying, but is it really that important in the context of the humanity of this particular situation. People are being oppressed and killed and the fact they maybe Muslims and the oppressors may be Muslims is really not the key issue here is it?

I am already mentally scarred from the first read.

Sure but would you acknowledged that the Islamic world is typically inflamed by Israeli military action (regardless of reason), and US actions in Iraq for example, even if they accidentally kill civilians - who may be muslims.

It just seems when it's muslims killing muslims then the Islamic world cares an awful lot less!

That's a good point.
Some Muslims like being told what to do, others don't.
Problem is, I see very few europeans going around suicide bombing each other, even we don't all get on.

I was amazed at some of the images shown on panarama last night, but the problem is, I just don't believe most things I read or see on the TV this days.
Why all of a sudden are we getting involved? Especially when we can't afford to defend our own damn country.

I don't think that is necessarly true. Or rather the Muslim bias is not what it's about. I think they see the US and rest of the coalition's actions in Iraq and Afghanistan as outside interference whereas if they are taking a pop at each other that is their business. Not saying that is right or wrong, but I don't think the Muslim aspect of it has much to do with it.
