This link tells you how to disable on your device if your not sure
But to confirm, facebook already blocks the information and other online sites are following suit.. so the companies out there are aware and are dealing with it.

Most compact cameras don't offer geo tagging however newer ones do offer this extra facility. iPhones deff do however why bother taking a pic of your pride and joy using the crappy camera on your phone? Anywhore I normally do some little post process in PS and save for web devices only eliminating all exit data, also never take pictures of my car on the drive outside my house, prefer somewhere open and private. little bit of scare tactics going on with the video.
