Your mum was on the back seat and she weights 400+lbs so my power to weight ratio is a little off. Usually i would have had him from the lights as your scoob would be suffering from heat soak and fuel starvation as you cannot afford to put more that a gallon in at a time!
Here she is, just how you like your mum

tbh if your making a post like this your spending far too much time on SN.
scoobynet is gonna be the first place anyone buys an impreza looks for advice, its got to be expected.
theres no seperate forum for tunnel runs which soo many people cream about on here, so why should there be a seperate forum for noobs asking about DV's and stainless systems?

As someone who visits both there is no doubt in my mind the average IQ is higher over there, almost certainly because the Subaru is the cheaper car and like it or not those with more money tend to have a little more going on up top.
A decent post. I don't have the Subaru any more (Evo now) but there is the possibility I may yet have another (JDM Blob STI if I do) and I can occassionally help others out. There is also some crossover of information with MLR as the cars are ultimately not that dissimilar.
Threads like this invariably start with some conflict between the parties on either side of the argument/jibe and then when a few of the 'old guard' have got together it ends with them joking amongst themselves and licking each other's *****.
I think it is a bit late to shut the door don't you....
I have obviously struck a nerve, maybe you are one of the new breed of chav-scum who are getting the scoob a bad/chavvy image otherwise why react so strongly - taking the mickey out of me owning a Honda - LoL from a ricer!
Probably best the old guard who do not own scoobs leave, that would be quite a few of us who also have a lot of knowledge about the cars gained over quite a few years, the experience of how to diagnose faults and how to fix them along with modding, etc.
All i said was a forum for the chavvy members who want there cars to look and sound like Barry-mobiles, thats all, any real owner /petrol-head would agree surely?
Here's some auto-**** for you!
I'm unaware that you have ever been a stalwart of the Technical' section, you pretty much only post in 'General' and 'NSR'. You could post much the same on 'mums.net' where I expect there are plenty of Honda Accords.
A large number of the 'Old Guard' who were genuinely knowledgable about the brand (Splitpin, John Banks etc) have vanished from here.
Kevin
Can we also have a section for the old guard who have moved a away from Subaru ownership but just cant cut their ties with SN. That will give them the opportunity to post threads like "Back in my day" and "When i was a lad"
These people were once flying the Subaru flag where they thought the Impreza was the best car ever made but now slate the brand at any given time...why?...i guess it makes them feel all grown up.
FFS! The OP drives a Honda Accord, thats one rung away from owning a Nissan Micra or Honda Civic, the natural progression for the moaning old ******* who drive everywhere at 16mph causing queues of traffic behind them.
At the end of the day the soloution to the OP's problem is easy, the door is that way----------------------------------->
Just shut it on the way out to stop the Chavs coming in.

As for those 'genuinely knowledgeable' folk who have left - maybe it is partly to do with the 'chavvy' element. - oh and i spelt 'knowledgeable' correctly. really, you would have thought that you would known better given see yourself as having a little more going on up top
And because i drive a Honda my opinion does not count or matter - you may want to seek professional help as you seem to be displaying signs of an inferiority complex it is treatable - in some cases...removing your own head from your own *** is a good start
Now then - why would it be a problem to have a forum for the Barry element to frequent and ask away with those "which dump valve is loudest" type questions - it is a simple enough question and seems to get some people rather excited.

I have £25 left out of my dole money this week, How can I use this money to make my car faster? I could buy a new spring for my dump valve to make it louder and get a gallon of petrol to pour in the Zorst and burn baffles but what could I spend the £12 I have left on? Would like to see 2 bhp per pound if possible, Cheers.

Buy some sti badges to go on your wrx wagon that should add a few bhp.
