Back to the STI V WRX thing....
My first ever Impreza was a White 1995 WRX. Really nice car, drove well and was around the 300 bhp mark so was no sloutch. I loved it.
But 3 weeks after getting it, my best friend (who fell in love with my car) went and got himself a STI V2 with similar spec to mine.
Now even though my car was nice and drove well I always knew it wasn't quite as good as my pals. I fitted mid level rear spoiler, nicer wheels etc but it still wasn't the same. I didn't feel the same about my car as I did when I first got it.
Neadless to say I sold mine soon after and got a Pulsar GTIR (another mistake) and my friend blew his STI up.

 

i totally see where people are coming from regarding the sti, im gona hsve a look at a few more over the next couple of days.

ive always had hondas really mainly imports, they suffer from the sync wearing on 2nd an 3rd gear an smoking at high revs, do imprezas suffer from any really common problems or are they generally soilld?

 

i love my wrx

 

right guys im going back to have a 2nd look tommorow. is there anything specific i should be looking out for???

 

Make sure the gearbox is sweet, no knocks or crunches. Also, have a good listen to the engine on (cold) start up..

 

Seems a little harsh lol , and no I don't drive a wrx.
