Bigger wheels are not neccesarily heavier. My OZ Ultraleggera are much lighter than the standard Subaru ones I replaced.

I also suspect some alloy calipers will be lighter than standard.

Work out your Hp per ton here

http://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp

My classic is somewhere between 377 - 393hp per ton

I really need to get it weighed on a weigh bridge.

I have been drinking a lot of cider

mapping was abandoned as a problem with the fuel pump meant it only made 1.8bar. Steven thinks its slightly quicker than the 1.5bar it was running

Proper power will be ressumed shortly

jayallen. You seem to be the first to take offence? Come on we all do it from time to time i just thought id share my story because i thought the m3 was quicker than it was.
Note how i didnt state the high mph i was traveling and 'racing through the gears' is something you cant help with the type r's gearbox how iever fast i was going.
I dont drive fast normaly especially in and around town, only because i had a t**t on my rear bumper and i was out in the sticks with no houses or people around what so ever that i took action.
Are you one of the blokes that go on youtube and comment on street racing vids saying how dangerous it is? if not maybe you should aim your anger at them and not a little story on snet.
I dont want to arque about it, i can 'sort of' see where you are coming from.

I get loads of people beating me but who cares? I got a Nova pull a big gap from me as we were doing say 30mph and he was in front of me then floored his car. I virtually caught him up in 6th gear but I bet he was in 2nd gear the way he moved away and I bet he still tells his mates how he left my Impreza

Ah you have fallen into that trap
Your tyres will be heavier, your brake discs will be heavier, the alloy calipers will actually be heavier because they are larger (weigh a set of AP 4 pots against a set of subaru 4 pots, they are heavier even though they are alloy) discs, well cast iron will be heavier due to it being bigger, you "may" try to save weight but you dont save anywhere near as much as you think

DUDE lets be fair here, there are numerous people including myself/yourself who have spent alot of money building some pretty serious cars and from time to time will let the hammer drop and also enjoy smoking cars that should be quicker than there own if it was standard.
