Just got in from run, full tank gone but what a day. Jarvis's clio is pretty good fare play. Nice to meet everyone who came up for this and thanks to Dylan and Rob for leading the fun bits.

Yep a great day out Nice to see everyone and those I chatted to along the way - great leaders added to an enjoyable "ride" the Clio goes well as Rich said

Prize ****** of the day for me goes to the Transporter Van driver coming off the Blacks the first time we went over, complete ***** fair play was no need to attempt to block us overtaking on an open clear road, lost my patience a bit with him in the end and he had to go!!!

To be honest I am extremely p1$$ed off as I had asked for people to take it easy, I was at the back of the group and got 'both barrels' from the farmer.

I know it is easy to get the red mist and be concerned with keeping up with the car in front but as I pointed out this was not a road rally event, we all enjoy a 'spirited drive' but do it safely.

I don't know the speed of what was going on at the front or even if the farmer was in any way right in what he was saying but if we attract unwanted attention then we/you will get Police attention.

Apart from that I enjoyed the day, the highlight without a doubt being Jarvis overtaking yet again on the corner at the base of the Black Mountains.

Big big thanks to Ty and everyone else involved on the day! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again, and in fact I'd say it was the best year so far out of the last 3 years that we have come over! The routes we took yesterday were just amazing! Big thanks to Rob for leading the way through Epynt, that was probably the highlight of the weekend for me, super smooth twisty up and down roads with an awesome scenery to go with it. Hope you get your splitter sorted soon mate, felt sorry for the little lamb, what a way to go, but totally agree it was best to put the poor thing out of it's misery.

That was the first time I had properly worked the M3 since buying it 2 and a half months ago, and what a place to do it! If you guys ever get a chance to drive an M3 SMG or CSL around these roads or on track I think a lot of you would appreciate what an awesome machine it is, I thoroughly loved it and I'm glad I sold the Scooby to buy it. (waits to get abuse......)

From all us lads down south - thanks for another brilliant day of driving on your fantastic roads! I'll get some pics up later today.

Cheers,
Arron

Ty as I explained at that point we were behind an Army transit van doing 20mph we stopped to give way to a gold mondeo and a lady walking her dog. The farmer probably took offence to the noise rather than speed. But if it was speed then it certainly wasn't us at the front.

Where the farmer was it was too tight for anyone to be going that fast. As above I think he took offence at the amount of cars and maybe the noise.

Cheers Arron, I thought you would like the roads that were used - we all knew you southern shandy drinkers would like it down here.

Next time you come down to god's country we'll go down into West Wales where I can show you some other good drivers roads but it will either be a really long day or a two day run if you want to drive the some of the same roads again.

See you next year.

I appreciate what you are saying but the farmer was spitting feathers, we all know what the public perception is of Impreza or any fast car driver and I'm sure if he had a shotgun to hand my car would have been peppered.

Like I said I didn't see what went on further up amongst the cars at the front but the farmer was adamant he would 'have the Police on us'.

As it was he had taken some registration numbers including mine even though I was driving in his eyes 'normally', I think you are right that he did not like the sound of the cars but it only takes a bigotted old fool to ruin our day.

Anyway I hope you all had a good day and thanks to Dylan and Rob for leading most of the way, next time with 450bhp+ you will all be viewing me disappear into the distance.
