Why isnt there a law that restricts companies from chasing after clients for PI claims? There has appeared to be a few more than viable options mentioned over the last few months and to here that the insurance companies arent doing anything about it is not good enough. No it might not be their fault but if they do naff all to prevent or deter the causes of insurance rises then it is perfectly acceptable for them to be blamed and held accountable in the eyes of the public. As the law says if you witness someone being victimised but offer no help you are as good as victimising them yourself.

I don't know the cost to run, but third party insurance is cheap, and is bought WITH the tax disc so anyone can see if a car is uninsured.

Insurance was much less for me when I lived there. Night and day.

Do you know the accident rate and the average cost of claim?

If you don't then any comparison is irrelevant.

You can get a hold of any insurance companies data and you will see that typically 80-90% of premiums are spent on claims.

It is a regulated industry so the data will be reasonably accurate and up to date.

So, how is it a rip off?

A 150 bhp diesel does not have the same performance as a WRX.
