It makes you wonder doesnt it? In this day and age and the anti impreza fuel prices I would have thought that they would be kissing you be-hind to get your money. The only thing I can think of is that they know that they would be worse off giving you truthful answers in which case they wouldnt be worth a ... err ... thought, let a lone anything else.

I see my name has popped up

Funnily enough when I went with my mate it was to look at the 2 classic sti wagons! The silver one was really badly resprayed, usual multi shade bad silver paint job.

I obviously realise these are old cars now and repairs will have been made but their prices suggest the car should be A1 condition.

I really don't know how the guy makes his money, he has a Hummer, R35 GTR, "1200bhp" r34 gtr, NUR R34 GTR of his own sitting up there. You just seem to see the same adverts on pistonheads over and over.

It's potentially a nice setup but everything is so badly presented, rusted up brake discs where they've been sitting so long, jump starting them when customers want a look, filthy, bad repairs (whether done here or not I don't know)

Also, when I've got the cash I like to go shopping. Even if you found something you wanted there it's a long wait before you could get your hands on it.

I have just received a response from SVA, 5days after contact telling me they have sold the car, after already telling me directly on the phone and if they could help any further they would. I had already had the discussion about another car with them told them I would lay a deposit down that evening if the help me with some simple c@nting questions. F@ck off.

Rant over people. Sorry.

Shaun.

and got this as a responce,

Hi,

I am sorry to hear you did not get a response, who did you speak to? We pride ourselves on giving a high level of customer service & yes you are our main customer.

If we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us, where I promise you will receive a response.

Yeah right or worse still...CUSTOMS....quick LEG IT!!!

I hope people take heed of this thread. Maybe it would be an idea to have a sticky on who to and who to AVOID, import wise. After all, the cars we like are 75% imports!?

WHERE are the Japanese Auction Certificates for all of their ''fresh imports''??

I would NEVER buy a car off a dealer who said it was a fresh import, just arrived in the UK, and yet they strangely and bizarrely do not have that one, all important piece of paper from the Japanese auction???

I have also had bad experience with them, took my R32 GTR Skyline to them to fit ecu, boost controller, air flow meters. when i picked it up it was missing badly. Took it back, while they had it turbos blew. They then recommended a different ecu???? I got it back and took it to Abbey, alot of money later it was sweet. SVA are over priced and dodgy. Which sucks as they arent far from me!.

i bought my Type R Ltd off them last year. Body work was pretty good for the age of the car. I did have some piant just to make it perfect though , but that's just me !! I'm currently having an engine rebuild on it by Scoobyclinic. SVA were ok to deal with, but for the price i don't think their quality control is that great. I've spent about as much again on the car as i paid for it !! You do get a years parts and labour warranty, but how the **** do you get the car back to them when you live 250 miles away !

Refurbed my Brembo GT brakes by Godspeed - Awesome now
Had new bushes all round
paint for me being a perfectionist
Rebuilt engine - Good for 400+ hp now !!
Jap tyres were crap so fitted new Toyos
Stereo was Jap crap , so Kenwood fitted (if you buy one make sure they fit a new UK stereo!)

Car came with some nice mods though

Brembo GT 328mm front brakes
Bilstein Coilovers
Apexi Power fc ecu
OZ P-WRC 17" Wheels
Sti sump guard
Zero Sports anti rollbars, hard pipe, Fujibusto exhust (or whatever its called)
Soprts CAT
SVA Undersealed it (Immaculate underneath)
Toad Cat1 alarm fitted by SVA
Everything i spotted at the time was put right though!

I do know someone else who had a V6 RA of them and he is over the moon with it

I now have a superb Type R ltd though! albeit expensive ! and i have a car i am now very happy with Read into this what you like ! Mine maybe for sale given the right price

Here it is now looking awesome!

I made some enquiries about several of their cars last year, I made a phone call initially as I thought it would be easiest.
Guy told me that he couldn't give me any info on any of the cars - not even prices as they had so many. I was told to e-mail the request which I promptly did. Two weeks later I re-sent it.

A year later, I am still waiting for a response... but I did get a Scoob from elsewhere.

Thats just strange they obviously don't care about actually selling cars, yet they have a massive selection.

I went to look at the S GT they had there. 1500 miles on the clock and it looked like it had been imported on the back of an open top carrier the amount of swirls and slight scrathes it had. If the previous owner had done this in 1500 miles then there would have been nothing left of it before he reached 10,000.
