I run 35F 33R now, which is above the recommended. Do you run higher than that?

I don't think water vapour is going to ever leave the tyre though so if you've ever filled on a damp day then your tyres are ****ed and better get some new ones right now!

Seriously what a load of bull!

I can't remember for sure Anders - Scooby2 is at the menders at the moment waiting for new head gaskets and suspension. I think it works out at around 36/33.

It may be but my experience over 10 ish years using nitrogen is that you never have to top up your pressures and the only time I ever get additional nitrogen put in is when going on holiday when fully loaded and I run about 2psi higher.

How often do you have to top up your tyres Mr Bull?

Ideally you should remove as much air as possible before filling up then empty out again to help purge the system before filling up again.

Ahh, so they don't pop the tyres off and fill from scratch. I might ask if they can do that.

It must be your lucky weekend! Received an email this morning from Merit who have a spring offer on at the moment apparently offering free nitrogen but you need to be a member of their cardplus scheme which you just need to sign up to when you arrive.

I don't know as I've never had N2 for existing tyres - only new sets.
