Sorry, it wasn't meant to sound sarcastic, it was genuine.

I have been trading for 12 years now (my own account), so the thought of starting my own hedge fund really is fantastic. Sorry for the confusion.

No need to appologise I'm a cynic and it's not terrifically British of someone to "congratulate" another persons achievements, being on SN it seems prudent just to go on the defensive

I bought A MK2 Escort RS Mexico 10 years ago for £3000 It is now valued at £20,000. I also use it during the Summer months.
A good bet would be to find an original MK1 Golf GTi or a MK2 G60 or Rallye and hold on to it as these are set to rocket in value.

3 years ago, after selling my Impreza I went looking for an EVO1 Integrale. There was a guy selling a dark blue one in London for £6000. I was talking to him and had to go up to Yorkshire to visit the wifes folks so went to walkers to drive one there. It was an EVO1 but they wanted £10K.

I didn't like. It looked awesome but I just didn't like driving it. I drove a P1 that afternoon and decided I wanted another Impreza. Rang the guy in London and said I didn't want his Integrale.

Lost £1000 on the 2nd Impreza and you can't get an EVO1 under £10K. Even the sh1tters from Japan are £15K.

I think I could have had 100% profit on that £6K Lancia in 3 years!!

That sort of profit when dealing with cars isn't bad.

Current trendy classics are not the ones to invest in as they will probably be at their peak. Smart money goes into the future classics.
