Thumbs up

Well we popped into DFS (Hove) yesterday and had a look around. Found the one we were after and salesman was a very helpful chap. Not pushy at all and answered all our questions.

Also called into Furniture Village next door, same really. Perhaps slightly higher quality (?) but quite a bit more expensive.

Both shops almost completely empty so how they survive I have no idea.

Anyone know if Furniture Village are any good ? They have quite a few stores throughout the UK, they have one not that far from where i live which would be handy if they are ok.

I've heard a lot of horror stories from DFS. Items turning up broken then taking forever to get fixed if at all. Also items getting 'lost' in transit. I'd be vary wary for such a substantial amount of money.

Very ture!

We have had our DFS sofa's for over 2 years now.
Apart from having to 'plump' the cushions up once a month, it has been absolutely fine.
Delivered earlier than what they had quoted.
Also took out their equivilant of scotch guard which was lucky as the mrs split a pint of cola all over the matching foot stool. Man came out to try and get the stain out. After he couldn't, we received a new foot stool in around a week.

The only regret I have is the fact that I wish we had bought leather.

Problem is, you are far more likely to find bad reviews on the interweb.

In fact we will be replacing our leather suite with a fabric one. The leather looks great and keeps clean but the fabric is definitely more comfortable and less slippery. Problem with fabric being to keep it clean especially the arm rests (but make up some arm covers). So if you have messy kids and dogs then leather might be better. And fabric is cheaper
